CSC Conversion

do the floorboards make it hotter to ride ? I have a csc without the floorboards and always wonder if it did

The answer is yes and no. And it depends. I bought my CSC trike used from an authorized CSC dealer. It had some road rash on the floorboards from the P.O. I had a good discussion with the dealer about them. Here in the desert they tend to prevent some cooling air flow to the feet. But on the other hand in slow moving traffic and stop lights they will help prevent heat from the road from radiating up to the rider. The main benefit, besides looking cool, is that they help keep the rider dryer in wet weather. The down side is they eliminate the ability for the rider to use their feet to move the trike in reverse, which I often do.

So, I had the dealer remove the floorboards (ground effects) when I bought my trike and have been happy with that decision. But they do look cool..... Jim
