Rosy, I'm traveling on I-10 and trying to stay ahead of the storm. Storm will catch up with me while I sleep. Will set off early tomorrow morning.

Drove 460 miles today and had difficulty finding a room. Nice lady at Microtel helped me. Cajun night at Henderson, LA tonight. Soft shell crab and crawfish in sauce over broiled catfish. Yummy!

Rosy, I'm in Defuniak Springs, FL for the night. I'm traveling I-10, and I-12 is a nice bypass around New Orleans. Have logged 890 miles since I left Kerrville, TX. Have only encountered a little mist so far. Today, was able to visit Biloxi, Pensacola, Fort Walton and Destin. Even got to put my feet in the Gulf. Was a busy guy! Attaching a picture of western sky from my room this evening.

Mike, You and your wife will have a great time! There is so much wildlife around that she will busy taking pictures. Roadrunners and turkeys are too fast for me. The Hill Country is a great place to ride. Safe riding! Leo

Leo, know that part of the country very well, relatives had house in Navarre, Fl, so we were all over Destine and Fort Walton Beach. Great places to eat and see the sights!

Staying in Savannah tonight. Temp reached 90* today. Hot! Looks like storm will reach this area around noon tomorrow. Not sure I want to be on the road when storm reaches East Coast. May just stay here for duration. Will look at weather maps in the morning. Need rest anyway...
