63* and heavy overcast in CenTex, not great riding weather here. Sposed to get rain over the weekend - we need it badly, but I hate to see all those pretty Easter dresses getting raindrops on . . . Not to mention all the wet bunnies and chicks!

John's driving me to Rehab Therapy in a little while; gotta re-learn to walk again!

You sure John really wants You that mobile again.... can see possibilities.........J/K...;)...Hope You're as spry and hopping around like a Teenager some day.....ThumbUp ThumbUp ThumbUp

Journey to Texas continues. Decided to have bad front tire replaced before Easter weekend. Rode from Meridian, MS to Laurel, MS on I-59. What a beautiful road! Dealer had about five Ventures, one of them a black Hannigan trike. After this side trip, got back on track, and staying at Monroe, LA tonight. Only 270 more miles to Dallas tomorrow... Yippie!

Skuuter, Cracker Barrel is one of my favorites on the road.

Nancy, Hope all goes well with your therapy. Know from experience how much work and determination it takes.

Jeannette told me I have to find a church in Dallas on Easter Sunday. Will that show up on my GPS?

Leo, new tire, what did you have put on? Looks like a Battleax, and how was it balanced? What pressure did they tell you to run? Hope your trip is going to plan.

Rosy

Rosy, Dealer only had a Dunlop D404 on hand, so that's what I got. I cannot sit in a motel room waiting for a specific tire to arrive and mess up my travel plans. It's Easter weekend, and I didn't want to be stuck on the road with a bad tire. This tire will get me home. They spin balanced it, and set the pressure at 42 psi, I checked. Also got a new valve stem. Had the original. Yes, all is going to plan, and I'm trying to keep it that way. I have a motel reservation in Dallas for the next two nights, and I didn't want to cancel out. Plan to take the DART on Saturday to go visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library. Also need to find a church in Dallas for Easter Sunday.

I'll have 17 people here for Easter dinner. Hope your church is close to where you are staying. The Library should be a great trip with lots of info.
Yes, you are correct, get it done and be safe to get you home.
Great pictures of the flowers along the road way!
Blondie Gal, hope your PT goes well, and you are on your feet very soon.

Rosy

Leo, when they spin balanced tire, are there weights only on one side or on both?
Drove from Park City to Salt Lake City today. Lots of bikes on the road. no trikes. Must be Spring. Flying home in morning.

Not sure about the weights... Need to look at tire in the daylight. Rides okay, but the Avon Venom was much firmer, which I liked. Oh well, deal with it when I get home. Passed lots of bikes today. Couple just pulled into Cracker Barrel on their Harley. Only saw one trike, and that was yesterday.

Good morning folks! Need to drag my feet a little this morning to let clouds pass, and it will then be smooth sailing into Dallas, Sunny and 73*. :pepper: Hope you have a great day!

Got a little rain since I reported last. Now blue sky is starting to poke through the clouds. Air is a little cool right now. Will go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and come back to pack. Don't have high expectations for my new tire, but it sure rides better than the previous one with all the flat spots. 270 miles to Dallas should be a piece of cake. :) Thanks!

Leo, have a good day glad you got your tire! I'm sitting in a tire bay have a loose valve stem replaced, then back at it headed to Houston.

Let's see how close we are getting to Dallas. Janice and I say 6 hours to get there. Let us know Leo. That will include stops for gas and breaks for snacks.
Hope all goes well.

Thanks Big Dog! Glad you're in a tire bay and not broken down on the road. Good luck!

6 hours is about right. You forgot to factor in time for picture taking.

Arrived at my Dallas hotel safe and sound. It is a nice Best Western hotel downtown. Will be here two nights, three nights in Fredericksburg and three nights in Kerrville. Tomorrow, take the DART rail to the George W. Bush Presidential Library. Found a church just down the street for Easter Sunday service.

Was taking pictures of various wildflowers when my eyes came across Texas Bluebonnets in the Dallas area. Almost jumped off my seat with joy. :pepper: Eventually found a side road where I could take pictures. Bluebonnets are very showy and fragrant. So glad I got to see them! ThumbUp

Leo, what's your itinerary after Kerrville?

Was thinking the overlapping ride-in/reunion were the last hurrah.
