Yes, most of the South has freeze warnings this morning. Originally, planned to take I-10 to Kerrville, TX, but added Dallas visit to my itinerary, so I-20 is more direct. Hope I won't be sorry. Middle of country looks pretty clear right now. Plan to take I-10 on return trip.

Ride safe Leo .... :vxtyaq: Good night Mrs. Calabash, where ever you are :vxtyaq: :vxtyaq:

Thanks Champs! Brrr... It's cold out there this morning! :)

Good morning folks! It's 6:30 and my mind says go, but my body says it's too cold to go. Have to motive myself! Have a great day!

I'm dreaming of a WHITE Easter.. The Easter bunny better be a Snow Shoe Rabbit. I got more than a dusting. I can almost shovel it. 1/4" maybe. Ride safe Leo thank God it has 3 wheels.

31 F here in NH with a dusting of snow. No white Easter, back in the 50s the rest of the week.
Got to get ready for Easter. 17 people heading towards the Rosa-Mirandas to enjoy good food and drinks. Three types of hams with all the fixings and blueberry pie (hand picked berries by Janice & I), pumpkin pie, and an Apple pie. If warm enough, nephew and his wife will be over on their Harleys from Hampton Beach.
Had to get up early yesterday to load two tons of pellets in the cellar with my pallet jack. The company dropped them off with their moffet as we were the first for delivery. Got them in just before the rain started. The sheep skin on the trike got a little wet as Janice and I hurried to get the pallets in. We have to take the trike out to get the pallets in. So, a very busy morning yesterday.
Hope everybody has a great day, even with our snow!
Leo, have a good ride today towards Dallas.

Rosy & Janice

Kwputt, Yes, glad I headed south first. It was cold enough. John, I am thankful every day that I have three wheels. Rosy, You're making me hungry. Happy Easter! Zook, In addition to Texas ride, I'm going to Colorado and possibly beyond in August. Cannot do every ride...

Staying at Meridian, MS tonight. Drove 573 miles today. Weather was cool this morning, but it was a warm, sunny day. Sadly, my front tire is starting to look like a tire from Bedrock, not so round. Will need a new front tire before I head home. Strange, don't even feel the wear as I tool down the road at 70 mph. Do feel the wear at crawling speeds. Even the low spots still have about .25" of tread, but that could go fast. Other than that, all is well.

Heard back from someone who lives in Kerrville, TX area. He gave me the name of a dealer he recommends. I'll give dealer a call tomorrow. Hopefully, he can have a new tire for me when I get to that area.

You're making me jealous. I haven't had a good long distance ride in a while. Enjoy.

Leo, what are thinking on mounting on the front? Are you going to see if they have a rear tire, that will fit your front? If you get a tire, ask about ceramic beads to balance the tire. That's what I use.
How many miles do you have on your tire now? What pressure do you run?

Good morning folks!

Andrew, You've been very busy this year. You're due a nice ride. At least you're getting a promotion. ThumbUp

Rosy, Hanging in motel room this morning, waiting to contact the dealer in Kerrville. Would like for him to order me a Michelin Commander II rear tire. Have a Avon Venom rear tire now with 17,000 miles. Added Ride-On in the tire before I left, but it was too late. Tire was already out of round. Also added too little, because my rear tire requires more than one bottle. Maybe I made things worse, who knows. Run 42 psi, but this tire has had a slow leak since day one. Have to check it every couple days on the road.

Skuuter, Activ does not come in a size that will fit the front of Venture. Have to go with the Commander II.

Had a big day yesterday. Will keep the speed lower today, and keep an eye on tire's wear.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks Lucky! Wish you were with me too!

It was such a beautiful day in Alabama yesterday, not a cloud in the sky. This morning, there are some light clouds. Wish I was on the road, but need to work out plans for a replacement tire. :gah:

Hope You get the Tire issue done Leo.....Enjoy Your Ride.....ThumbUp...Got in a Nice Ride this morning...ate Breakfast at the Manchester Cracker Barrel, then swung by the Home Depot Fuel Store in Winchester and dropped Mitzie off a "Cracker Barrel To Go Order"......bring on the SUNSHINE.......ThumbUp

Ah, 68 degrees and nothing but SUNSHINE right now.....WOO-HOO...Mitzie and I will be hitting the back roads this afternoon.....:pepper::pepper::pepper:

63* and heavy overcast in CenTex, not great riding weather here. Sposed to get rain over the weekend - we need it badly, but I hate to see all those pretty Easter dresses getting raindrops on . . . Not to mention all the wet bunnies and chicks!

John's driving me to Rehab Therapy in a little while; gotta re-learn to walk again!
