Morning all. Just my luck, flight to Nashville is not cancelled. I would bet anything I won't be able to fly back to NYC on Friday. Packed for Sat. I expect to be stuck. Luckily my truck driving neighbor had a route cancelled last night and can dig wifey out today and tomorrow. Damn shame I will probably be stuck in a hotel relaxing and reading a book.

Cold/blizzard conditions for the Northeast..Dover will maybe see 12+" of the white stuff...& bitter old!

Rosy, the high for the day was -7 its -14 now with light snow the wind chill is -34. Were just above the snow line that you guy's are going to get. Tomorrow night the low is suppose to be -20. Its even been to cold to go ice fishing -- 20 more days till we head to Florida, can't wait.

Good Day Folks! Nor'easter came and went. It wasn't too bad. We now have sun and blue sky. Hope everyone is safe and warm.
Hey, Leo - we survived another over hyped storm. Maybe it was "bad" somewhere, but not so much here. Someone forgot to tell the news-people that it's January and these annoyances come along from time-to-time. Now it's supposed to rain Sun & Mon with temps in the mid to upper 40's. For handling the snow (about 9"), I'll use my "rake the leaves" approach - wait and it will go away.
:laugh: :laugh:Note - For those not "in the know", my "how to handle leaves" goes like this... Sometime between when the leaves fall, and when Spring arrives, there will be several windy days. Wha-La, no leaves left to deal with... ThumbUp
Warren, glad you are not my neighbor because surely the wind would blow the leafs into my yard! But, if I was your neighbor, I would accidentally blow the snow in your yard!

Ahhhhh, Rosy - you have possibly missed the finer points of my leaf removal program. As my "theoretical" neighbor, the same breezes that take care of my leaves, would also take care of yours...
As for snow removal, as long as you aim for my yard, and not the walkways, you would always be welcome to blow snow into my yard. Actually, with your new understanding of my leaf/snow program, you probably would have little need for your snow blower. If you did choose to use the blower for "touch ups", you would, as a "thank you gesture", probably be out front here, doing gratuitous touch ups, also. Thank you, in advance. ThumbUp
:laugh:Warren, my luck is in the books, none, nada, zip, not going to happen! So, you see, as the wind blow the leafs out of your yard into mine, that's where the leafs would settle, Big Piles of them. It would be up to me to get rid of them..mulch...burn.....bag...or just let them be...

I cheated and was in Nashville on business and missed the big storm completely. My neighbor was going to clear my driveway, but the wife was impatient and when some 20-something's came walking around looking to make some money, she hired them. Its just so shocking to find them not playing Xbox. They even cleared the TG for me and dug out the mailbox.
Flight crew just arrived, so I should be home late tonight.
