Good morning!
Got in at 2:30 AM and it was windy and cold. No snow which is great, because I have lots of outside work to do.
Back in NH...Brrrrrrrrr 27F this AM
Nana, please hold the fort for us stuck in the North.
Leo, think spring really hard, maybe it will come early.
BG, flowers are all dead! My maple still has yellow leafs, the oak's are brown. Have to check my cannas and bring them into the cellar in boxes.
Warren, about 4 hours to the rally, can you make it this August?
OB, about 5 hours for you to the rally.
Have a great day!

We noticed a bingo place near us. We haven't played in years.... Think we will go play tonight. Crossing my fingers to win; I want to yell BINGO! Just once :D

My 85-year old neighbor looooooves to play bingo, slots, penny machines. Keeps wanting to take me, too. She gets all-expense-paid vacations from casinos from Louisiana to Reno, and comes home with bags of money. Played penny machines last weekend, won $400 in one sitting! May you have that kind of luck!

LOL, Joan! We didn't even have to be old to be there; there were folks from about 30 to 80. Mike won $30.00, so our "investment" was covered, and we had fun. I gather most there are addicted regulars. I play about once every 4 years…. I am guessing that doesn't count as a "regular"…;)

Nancy, I have an elderly friend (90) who plays like that too…. and WINS regularly! Always the penny or nickel machine. I can sit and do exactly what he does, and lose my $20.00 of pennies every time!

Mornin - moderate heat wave 30 ATM headed for 50
Good news from Barb yesterday, CC is out of ICU and may get to go home today or tomorrow. He has orders to take it easy.

Good morning to all! 31* but was real windy last night. Expecting more wind today. Hold on to your bonnets!!!
Have a great day,
Larry, in breezy East China Mi.

Good morning everyone! Nice and warm here in Dover, NH.39F and rising.
Had a bad experience going to Bingo years ago....It made me afraid of going back..LOL...that's when Bingo was huge around here..they would bus people from Maine to play in Dover...Pots were really big..at times $10,000+...
I thought, well if these "Old People" can win, I'll give it a try..So went to the Bingo hall and walked in..rows upon rows of tables..looked like the Air Force Academy mess hall..WOW..OK, paid for my cards..I think they were 5 cards for $10.00.. WOW a little steep, I thought, but paid it anyway..Sat down..Looked around and all these people had beans to mark their cards..I didn't have anything..OH well..grabbed some change out of my pocket to get ready..
All of the sudden this "Old Lady" was standing behind me saying..Young man..What are you doing? Well, I am going to play Bingo..NO your not, not in That seat, that's my seat, I've had that seat for 3 years and that's my Lucky seat...Grab my change and got out of Her seat..this happened three more times..so, I stood for a while and waited till the hall was full..couldn't see an empty seat, so I sat on the floor and played my five cards..How in the world do these "Old People" play all those cards..I could barely keep up with my five cards..WOW!!! Never to go back again!!!
Enjoy your day!

U use a dobber. ( a large highlighter ) and you dab each card. I saw an old woman doing 20 cards. Intense.
Haven't seen any news of the local rally's hint hint ( NE TT )

That's hilarious, Rosy! Yes, the "addicted regulars" zip through the games and don't miss a thing; their age makes no difference at all! This was a relatively small group, and there was a lot of light-hearted joking around among them, which made yet fun. One lady was playing so many sheets of cards that she had to double some of them up -- marking the top sheets first, then lifting those to mark the ones below. That would have totally messed me up, but she has done it every Wednesday night for years, and has it down pat. Nowadays, they don't use beans or coins, they have colorful "daubers" like giant highlighter markers that just highlight the numbers as you find them on your card. MUCH easier!

You have to realize this was before I was married, more than 44 years ago. I don't know if they had those markers back then. Yes, it would make it a lot easier than beans, chips, or coins! LOL
BUT, I won't go back! It was like your Grandmother telling you to get out of her kitchen..Yikes!

PS. John, having problems getting into PM, on the new system!

Rosy, those Bingo cards chiseled out of stone must have been hard to handle back in your day.
On brighter, lighter note. The PICC port comes out of my arm tomorrow. Will be all done with intravenous. Declared of sound body (if not sound mind:qpnmt:). Flying off to Salt Lake City on Monday. Then back home. Then flying to Tucson for turkey day a couple days later.

Good opening day morning to all the deer hunters in Michigan! Good luck and be safe! By the way, I'm not a hunter but love venison!
