Cheri, if you are Canadian and Scottish we are probably cousins..... I'm both!

Wouldn't that be something??! My genealogy is primarily Scottish and Irish, with a bit of Portugese and German thrown in. The majority of my Scottish ancestors apparently emigrated to the US via Nova Scotia. With a name as common as MacDonald though, it's not an easy task to pick out which are mine, especially since the only "family" I knew growing up was my mother, grandmother, and step father. My mother & grandmother didn't talk about "their" side of the family, and both died while I was young, so this has been like looking for a needle in a giant haystack!! Certainly interesting though.

And thanks to Ancestry.com, I recently found a cousin living in Maine, so hopefully I can fill in some blanks and get some family stories soon!

Great, hope you do get info about your past history. The Mac Donald from Maine wouldn't be John, would it? I worked with John and he was from Kennebunk, Maine. Wouldn't that be one thing! LOL

Warren, one of the trees was about 3' tall, the others were smaller. If I do bring some down to the rally, they will be in the range of 3" to 4" tall.
Yes, they will need TLC, like sunshine and water. But, I am sure they could make the trip, OK.
So, think about it and let me know. I make no promises, because we could have a bad year and have no seedlings.

So happy to hear that, Bozo!

Long day today. Up early to drive to Columbus to help my daughter. She tore a muscle in her neck yesterday and was in excruciating pain through the night. Spent the day taking care of her four little ones so she could just rest and helping her ice the neck, get up and down without hurting herself when necessary, and fixing chili for their dinner tonight. Her hubby came home in time to take her to the doc, and she came home with her neck in a foam collar for support. She sees the doc tomorrow again for a follow up. I'm home now and will probably go to bed early to make up for my lack of sleep earlier today. We'll see....

Mornin - came close to getting a visit by Mr. Frost, 38 and foggy. Mid 70's for the weekend and the trees are starting to show their fall colors. Should be a nice weekend for a ride.
