Chat Room

Left at 11:30 after a great breakfast and hugs with Ray, Kathy, Nancy, John and Ray and Kathy's friends that live in Eureka Springs. We miss you all terribly...but after 270 miles in 5 hours...we are laying in bed petting our kitty and decompressing our rears! Safe trip all of you and Godspeed!

Took it easy on Dianne and only did 370 miles for day. Stopped in Vandalia, IL. Now, I know I can't get her up early in morning, so I think I will try changing all clocks/watches for Eastern Time Zone before she wakes up. See if I get her up earlier that way...Bwah, ha, ha, ha!

Forgot to say. You've all heard of Punch Buggy road game, right? Well, I have a different game for Dianne. I call it Punch A Cracker. Whoever spots a Cracker Barrel/sign gets to punch the other. So when she spots one, she slugs me like Mike Tyson. When I spot one. I give her a little tap. Then she slugs me. So, in theory, because I spot more, I win. So how come I have more bruises?

487 and off the road for the night.

"F-R-I-D-A-Y"...ThumbUpThumbUpThumbUp...ok, still on Vacation, so no big deal...:D...Keith, SORRY for the really short text replies, but still have the Verizon Loaner basic telegraph model....uh, I mean "telephone model".....this thing barely makes a phone call, kept looking for a rotary dial on it, gota' go to Verizon today...

Got Home around 3:30 CST, picked up my new Honda PCX150 Scooter, cleaned up and we headed to Manchester to O'Charleys for supper on the two Scooters.....ThumbUp....Bozo, might wanna' "slightly tweak" the Cracker Barrel Road Game a little more...:qpnmt: ....Hope EVERYONE makes it Home safely from the RALLY....had a Fantastic Time like usual...THANKS to ALL of the GREAT Members here.....More Pics soon...ThumbUp

Mornin' friends!

Good to see so many are home safe and sound. The rest of you be careful and have a wonderful trip to your destination!

Mornin Everyone, up and ready to head to West Virginia, will be a short day only 366 miles planned. Gotta go get KW up looks like he is sleeping in, so he thinks!!

Ride Safe and Enjoy!

Checking in. We made it home safely yesterday about 5 p.m. I think it was that time. My eyes were blurry from the bright sun. The rally was awesome. I'm already counting the days until next year. Nana, you were really missed. I hope you are feeling better.

Made it home safely. Parted company with Bandit & Sherry about 11:00, they still have 480 to go. Great week, great riding with good friends. Everyone be safe.:10: ThumbUp

Top of the morning to y'all,we ran the 439 miles home yesterday,WoW there is a lot of road work going on,however we made it by 1:30 so it was not hot very long.Highest temp I saw was only 91 degree.See you down the road.
Ray & Georgia

Had to head home after the dinner Wednesday evening. A big 52 miles of dark road, don't know how I could stand the ride.;) Well, had to head home Monday and Tuesday evening, too. Had to work (sorry for cussin' like that) all week. Hope I can get time off next year if the rally isn't the last few days of class at school.
Was great meeting up with some folks from last year's rally, some I knew only on line and meeting up with a few people I haven't seen in near 30 years. :wave4:
Wouldn't have missed it for the world. ThumbUp

Can we do it again next week?

OK, made it to Triadelphia, WV. 392 miles completed, just another 320 tomorrow and we are home. Thank you KW and Vickie for riding all week with us, we really enjoyed it and hope to do it again soon.

Made it home around 2:00 this afternoon, to one very happy dog. Once again it was a great time with old friends, and meeting new ones! All of it just enriching the way I look at life, how can you have a bad day after spending ten minutes talking to Ray Monroe...What a guy, is he a triker or what ThumbUp

Missed you and Mike as well Nana. You missed out on the conversation of the week on Tuesday evening after bingo. Some of us were lucky enough to hear Scalp Hunter re-live his ordeal of running over the ground hog on the way to the rally. The nice lady that took him to the auto parts store and his terrible bout of GAS. Seems something he ate didn't agree with his innards and the poor lady was blessed with John's gas pains while enroute to and from the store. Another few moments of tears and aching sides followed that story, as only John could tell it.

Oh my goodness.... I really DID miss out then. John's story telling is the best!

Back from supper, 94 degrees here in Triadelphia, WV. We had a great time riding to the rally, and at the rally, time just flies to quick. Looks like we should be home about 2pm tomorrow unless we leave very early in the morning,

KW let me take Sherry for a ride on his wing, wow what a difference from a Harley, guess I will do some shopping after we get home, who knows what could happen with a wish and a prayer :)

Heard you were quite a troublemaker at the rally, OB - you sure you deserve a new GW? ;)

Hate to disappoint you, but if a wish & a prayer worked, I'd have been at the rally too! (I also wouldn't need a new front tire for the trike! :gah:) But if you find it works, let me know what you said/did - I'm willing to try again!

Lol, sure will. Me trouble, I don't think so, I believe your source is misinformed. I was an angel the whole time:) I even had someone approach me and thank me for all the laughs I provided, free of charge I might add.

I, on the other hand, was mortified! But I got over it!

It was indeed a fun time. Met old friends, and made new ones as in every rally. Now you're all a part of John's and my extended family. We love all of you and hope that those who missed it this year (Nana & Mike, Cheri, Juju, Rosy & Janice, Barb & Tommy and the others) will be in ES to help us have even more fun next year!

Thanks to Hell on Wheels (our little heathen) who loaned me her pretty cap to protect my sunburnt face; thanks to Big Dog, OlBandit & Sherry, KW and Vicki for the laughs; unending appreciation to Jackie Linzy, a local rider who helped us when we were stranded for three hours in Bentonville with a 'broke bike'; and a big thanks to Ray Monroe who, with his partner Kathy, provided inspiration and sweetness like we've never known before. May each of you meet these good, good people who give of their hearts every day!

Hey, how did you end up 78 miles ahead of us? I'm in Zanesville, OH for tonight. Expect to be in Bethleham for tomorrow night. With a short 150 miles home for Sunday morning.
The weasels at work have me flying down to Florida Monday morning. No rest for me.

Well, we left Eureka with Eddie from NY, he was the one riding the spyder, when we got to the troy plaza in Illinois we gases up and had lunch, when we came out Eddies bike had a blinking check engine light. We waited for a bit, but there was nothing we could do for him, he was safely in a truck stop with plenty of air conditioning, so we headed out for Terra Haute. Hope he made out OK, have not heard from him.

Maybe if you leave early enough you can swing by and pick us up, but I'm planning a 6:01am departure time tomorrow morning. Be safe, I am sure we will se ya at the NE TT rally.

Nancy, you know if I could get that stupid money tree to grow, you couldn't keep me away!! I swear I bought it from the same idiot selling ocean front property in Vegas, because ever since I planted it all I've gotten is rocks & weeds! ;)
