Chat Room

Good morning from East China Mi. I hope all had a safe holiday weekend! Was away from the computer and cell phone for the weekend. My mom and dad came up to northern Michigan (Mio Michigan) for the weekend. They have never been at a campground or at a cottage in my 58 years! My dad was always working all the overtime he could get to provide the beautiful home and life we grew up with. He turned 80 on Sept 1st.! Took his first ever ride on a quad this past weekend! They both had a great time, the weather was perfect plenty of food and friends at the property and our neighbors also were there. We didn't go a lot of places as kids because of my dad's work schedule but I suppose you have to make a trade-off with job security and quality of life. As a kid it seemed that you always had what you needed but not what you wanted! My dad was fortunate enough to have never been laid off (except in his later years at Chrysler, when he could take a voluntary lay off). Just wanted to put a shout-out to my folks for doing the great job they did raising and providing for us! Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Know where you are coming from, as a Dad. I have always wished I had spent more time with my son, but work was always in the way, yet my son recalls all the things we ever did and to this days talks about them. From chopping kindling in the cellar to going mackerel fishing off the breakwater in Maine.
I can say, we Fathers did what needed to be done at the time, to try and provide the best life for the family that we could. Now days, mothers are thrown in as providers to the household, so we also have to give credit to mothers who work 24/7 to provide for heir families.
Parents do what needs to be done for the good of Families!

Evening all. Forced to take pickup to work for first day back at work. Its so rare that I take anything but 2 or 3 wheels to work, a couple people actually asked if I drove my van there. Keep in mind I got rid of van 13 years and 3 cars ago.

Morning everyone! Off on another GWRRA Chapter M ride today.Going to Barnesville,GA.Hope it is warm enough today pose to be 91:gah:

No problem being 'warm enough' if you were in Central Texas, buddy - already 95* by noon, on its way to 103* by 4pm. Just waiting for summer to be done, cause it is just too hot to ride in comfort. We need rain so badly, but none forecasted.

Cool breeze here in NH, great riding weather. Going north to pickup my trike today, should be a great ride home. Janice will be in the Soul following me, then we may dress the trike back up and take ride this afternoon. We will see what time we get back.
Hope everybody is having a very safe day!

Cool and bright sunshine for East China today. Good day to tear out 500sq. ft. of old flooring then install new pre-finished wood flooring. Can you say bad knees??

I've been in Greer, S.C., at Cherokee Trikes, waiting on a servo-motor for my Stallion. In the mean time the folks here have suggested a ride up to Caesar's Head State Park, beautiful ride and views. Last night I did downtown Greenville, what an experience the Main St., area is the falls, restaurants, shops, ice cream, bars, you name it. Greenville must be a destination, for one of your next trips!!ThumbUp

Checking In....trying to get ready to go to the Scooter Rally at Deals Gap....got one of the Forza300 Scooters in....maybe ride one Forza, one PCX instead of both PCX Scooters...we'll see.....ThumbUp

Should have come to NH, nothing ever happens to your ride here, peachie keen!
Hope your part comes in and you are safely on the road again.
See you soon.

WOW! That sounds like a great little town to visit! If you have to hang out somewhere, Fred, it might as well be there :D

Only problem is no zip line any where in town, for the adventuresome Nana! I have to figure out how to put pictures from phone or tablet onto TT

Good Morning. OOPS! It's now afternoon here. Just checking in after a rough long week at work! The 4 night that I do work. I hardly have time to get on here. But it's my next 4 days off ThumbUp. Had to take a nap this morning after work. Now going out to the garage with my coffee in hand to put on more parts on the Harley :D. Might even take her for a ride this evening ThumbUp. Just wanted to stop in & say HELLO :D Weather here is fantastic ( today) Fri & Sat are suppose to be HOT & Humid again. But just for 2 days then back to the low 80's. Just got a report from our winter resort in Arizona. With all the updates they made to it. A lot of work going on there during the HOT summer months. Can't wait to get back there ThumbUp. OK nough chatting time to go do something. Have a fantastic day & Evening :D

Went to the grocery store for ice cream (Dutch Chocolate for John, Blueberry Cheesecake for me). No matter. On the way home, driving due west, saw the most remarkable sunset! Just that glowing luminescent reddish-orange-candy-tangerine color of Nana's new trike lighting up the horizon. Glorious!
