Buy Sell or Convert?

Hello!

I am new here. After a disasterous attempt with a Ice Bear Trike, I bought two scooters, an old 1985 Honda Elite and a Honda Helix 250. BUT I WANT AND NEED A TRIKE! So, the question... Should I sell both and buy a used trike (like an old Honda Goldwing) or try a conversion kit? I really need something automatic (I trashed my left ankle and trying to avoid reconstruction surgery). I am open to all suggestions. Both scooters are at the mechanic and my handy Harley friends at their Iron Horse garage are willing to put a conversion kit on for me (they still laugh at my bad experience with my first Trike) but I have been checking on conversion kits. TowPac came up a lot on researching the web, but I also read that there are issues with getting the alignment right. So, I just joined today and this is my first forum.

I appreciate any advice.

Welcome aboard. At first I thought about a Voyager kit - then I saw a TowPac set up and liked it. I decided not to get involved in add ons or trike kits due to warrantee issues and decided on the Harley since it's the only mfg with a trike.

Have you thought about getting one of your other bikes converted?
TowPac has kits for just about all bikes and scooters.

Shame on them for laughing at your mishap. When you get healed -kick em in the ass.

A used Honda Goldwing trike IS a conversion kit.

Don't know about an automatic, but you can get an air operated clutch kit.

I would go out and test ride all the trikes that are out there and make your decision at that time. There are great sponsors on this site that will be glad to help you out with a test ride.

Each trike maybe setup a bit different and you may need to have it setup to you needs.
