Broken Suspension

Just got home from 800 mi trip down in the smokies and the Dragon so I thought I should check everything out and found broken bracket that holds the ladder bar on 1500 Goldwing with motortrike conversion, lucky we made it home without big failure, any ideas on a fix and why it broke only the top hole broke out.

Heim joint might have been jammed, over-tightened and not allowed the bar to move. Maybe the panhard bar might be a bit too tight as well. The cast areas (where they anchor) is not a very strong point. Should be more gusseting.

Wow! I'd have to be at the shop with probs like that. Not savy enough for the tech stuff. Glad you didn't experience problems on the ride. all the best!
