Brake recall and Murphy's Law

I took our 2006 GW1800 Motor Trike to Fairfield, Ohio Honda for the brake recall as the original owner didn't have it done. I took this opportunity to have all fluids changed with 23K miles I thought it to be good maintenance. The Service Manager called me this morning to say while bleeding the rear brakes the technician discovered both brake lines on the trike were leaking under pressure. This particular dealer happens to be a Motor Trike Dealer and does trike conversions so I feel comfortable they know what they're doing. I knew the rear pedal was soft and now I know why, just glad they caught it. So instead of picking the wing up today it will be next Friday as the brake lines come from MT in Texas. Still glad I had the service completed even if it's more expensive than originally thought.

He did not say how old the conversion was. If it was not around the time it was purchased (10 yrs) and only has 23k miles on it. Then parts do wear out. Especially rubber parts when they are not being used. Also what part of the rear brake lines is leaking. It maybe a issue but it also can be a lack of use issue. At least it was caught before the line completely ruptured.

The bike was driven from the dealer to the trike dealer and converted in 2007. I am headed to the dealership now to see the problem. The service manager wanted me to see it before they removed the parts. As I think back my pedal had recently gotten softer and not as much peddle. More later and if possible with photos as it might help someone else.
