For the life of Me I cannot find a mileage to replace the drive belt on a Harley

Matter of fact I can remember only replacing 2 beltsfor customers, 1 was an after market Gates Belt, the other was a Softail that picked up a Rock in Sturgis, Nuff Said Thanks for listening

While the book calls for inspection at 50,000 miles, today's belts can go 100,000 miles. I had a belt die on a '91 Electra Glide but I'd managed to pick up a stone I hadn't known about in the center of the belt at around 40,000 miles. I was near home and had a towing service thru Harley but it took about 3 hours to get picked up due to police getting higher priority than civilians. Police? At 2 PM on a weekday?

Bummer 4 sure, I had the original print out for THE NEW BELT DRIVE when It first debuted WOW was that a hit or what Just sayin

KEVLAR touted this as the best in the world, holding a shell of a body of a car up with 1 strand

However, Chain still RULES as KING @ the drags, The links and pins can take the shock better than a belt, Have y'all ever seen Arlen Ness dual belt drive? It is hideous IMO

Look here, I saw this bike in Sturgis after he built it
