Back from TN ride

Hannigan had already loaded up and went to Strugis. The show room was almost empty.

Took some time to look over the Kit more.

Wife and I will be at Kentucky Dam Sept 19th - 22nd for a ride with Friends. Then end up going right back for Hannigan's 50 year Anniversary the 27th.

New learning curve getting use to the trike and new system of packing things.

The delay is because of a part from HD. The switch kit that goes on the handle bar tree to power accessories has not shown up.

That is needed to power the AUX fuel tank. I have been told it will get there and bike will be ready for pick up Monday the 19th.

I have noticed HD has gotten pretty slow at providing parts last 2 years.

Works out ok anyway Second son is taking some time off and driving down with me. They delay until Monday give him a day to relax from heading here.

Another delay. Now Tuesday. Painter wants paint to sit a bit more. Told them add another day make it Wednesday.

I hope this is the last delay.

I have the controller from Custom Dynamics that allows setting brake light and or turn signal to flash at chosen rates.

Put it on yesterday. Was a simple plug and play just like before. Hannigan used the factory connectors.

Today I want to get up under it a look around some more. Look at belt adjustment. Just go over everything.

700 miles on it now. With a ride coming up things I need to gt done around here so taking off for the day just won't work.

2020 and up Harley Touring bikes that Have RDRS Have VHC..Vehicle hill control. However on models that do not have the jiffy stand switch it only works when you are in gear ,engine running and clutch in.

Now HD sells a harness that will install the switch and when turned on in the ECM it will work hands free in Neutral.

Ordered the harness for the Trike. I can turn it on in the ECM myself. Now a 10 day wait for the part.

I was not joking when I said this is my wife's Trike. I am just the driver and tour guide.

She road on early in the morning the 22nd about 2 miles. Just to see how the seat felt.

After church yesterday it was too hot to do anything we had planned around the house.

That was all we need to hear. Get your hermit lets go. 168 miles on some Wisconsin back roads.
Stop for lunch.

She was impressed with the ride. Railroad tracks rough roads ect. It was 90 degrees plus no wind and full sun. She noticed a lot less heat coming off exhaust. And that the Trike body shielded exhaust sound.

It passed her exceptions.

Not new anymore 1,000 miles on from the time it left Hannigan. So now it is just another Trike.

1000 miles 39.3 MPG average in 90 degrees plus heat for some of it

Seems the VA found out about my Trike project. 0730 this morning I was being loaded into an MRI machine. With some kind of full head full face helmet on. Ear plugs and muff type hearing protection.

Then it started 55 minutes of MRI racket.
They must have thought I lost my mind and were looking for it.
Too funny - I’ve tried ear plugs and Bluetooth earphones - didn’t work…

Looks like a nice load on the trailer.

I was there for a week doing a training update install on the BMW K1600GTL with master tech Brad and picking up the red Harley Transformer conversion for my customer's mint '03 Harley Ultra Firefighter's Edition. It will be another very cool build. 124" S&S motor, all the good parts, going to be a one of a kind.
