Just had my 2012 Goldwing triked with a Motor Trike Razor kit..Went on vacation with it and love the trike...Will post pictures when I get back...Has anyone had a problem with the trunk leaking?...I noticed some water in the trunk...just a few drops after a ride through a heavy rain...and again the same thing happen after a light rain. I do plan on going back to my installer when I come off vacation..but until I do does anyone have any ideas where I could look to find the leak?

My Motor Trike trunk has leaked since it was installed in 2006. Was under the impression the newer designed trunk door had solved that problem. Sorry to hear not so.

I had the same problem. I converted my 2012 to a Razor last year. I hope I can make this clear enough. The trunk has a lip where the seal is pushed on to. Pull the seal away from the trunk itself as far as you can with out removing it from the main body. If it comes off, not a problem, you'll see how it all fits together. All the way around. Then reset it with the door. At first it's going to make it harder to open the back, it'll get easier. Push the door closed with both hand and it should re-seat the seal and it'll be tight. I'm not a slammer, I push the door closed. I hope I made this clear. Fixed my leak. Seals nothing more then a a press fit. It's a tight fit.

I've never posted before, so it's a good luck on both us.

Every thru wall penetration is a candidate to leak; screws, wires, etc. They try to RTV them but doesn't always work. I've learned on my Roadsmith to put everything in a plastic bag when I know I'm going to be driving in rain. After all day in the rain I had a small amount of water but just enough to be a problem for things I didn't want to get wet.

Trunk Leak

What I did with my Motor Trike leak. First took a piece of chalk and rubbed the rubber of the trunk door. Closed the door to leave a chalk mark on the trunk door. took narrow masking tape and on one side or the other of the chalk mark follow along right to the chalk mark. Clean off the chalk and you have an outline as to where your rubber seal is hitting the door. Go to a hardware store and get some narrow WATER PROOF weather stripping. Put the weather stripping on the trunk next to your masking tape so when you close the trunk door the rubber on the trunk should come in contact with the weather stripping. Might work hard for a bit till the weather stripping get seated into hollows of the rubber. Worked for me.

On my MT Adventure kit, the service guy adjusted the door to be tighter. Now I sometimes have to pull the right corner to get it open, but what little rain & washing I've done since then, it's been dry. It's also a little harder to close, but just a push to the corners does it.
