96 VLX kit

Hello everyone. My wife has a '96 VLX with 1400 miles on it. She hasn't ridden it since 98 but said she would get back on it if it had a third wheel. So, I guess I need to find a good independant suspension kit to make that happen. Info online is kinda sketchy so I am hoping this forum will be beneficial in my quest for the better half's riding pleasure.

If you have any experience with or know who i can talk to about getting this bike converted, i would appreciate your input.

Jim is that a 600cc bike? Not many conversions for a VLX that I have seen. Also that might be a little small to convert. Low demand

I would say your best bet is to look for a used Honda 1500 or possibly a used Harley Sportster that has already been converted. Less head acks from something that is more popular.

Yes it is the 600. I had the dame thought about going to something already built, but I also thought I would check on availability first since I have a bike that is basically new. Not sure what the resale would be on it now. I'll start checking around for values to sell mine and replace it. Thanks for the input!!
