First time to post with pictures and trying to get the hang of it. Took delivery of my new 2014 Blackened Cayenne Sunglow Triglide this morning. It is really a pretty color but very hard for the photographs to do it justice. You can see, depending on the light it can look black or, if the sun catches it just right the metallic really pops.
I left the stock pipes for now....added the adjustable backrest, CB, upgraded speakers and amp, XM, chrome bumper, DK Custom Comfort Lift Kit and fender trim. I am running 36 psi in the front tire, 26 in the rear tires and 30 in the shocks. I am in a rural area in Texas and the County Roads leave a lot to be desired so the ride is not as nearly as smooth as it is on the State Roads and Interstate....very pleased so far (120 miles)
I will be experimenting with the PSI numbers to fine tune but I really am pleased so far. This is my second trike....I had a 2009 Wing with the IRS Motor Trike kit.
The Harley warranty was really important to me and I was really concerned about the solid axle but given just a little time I know I will be pleased overall...safe riding to all...epper:

I have been doing a lot of reading on this forum in preparation for either buying a new Triglide or buying an aftermarket kit (Motortrike or Roadsmith) for my 2014 Ultra Limited. As I get older I just don't feel as comfortable on two wheels, especially worth low speed maneuvers.
Anyway, I have been working with a local dealer in my area and he has one in his rental fleet and he let me take it out for a couple of hours. I was pleasantly surprised. The ride was not nearly as harsh as I has been led to believe it would be. I rode (60 miles) some construction interstate and some County Roads and realized I could easily live with the ride. It is not as smooth as a former bike, 09 Wing with a Motortrike IRS, but they are two entirely different bikes. I need the peace of mind that the Harley warranty offers.....I just can't bring myself to have a 48k bike with no warranty......looking at the Vivid Black...just some of my ramblings. All of the input on this forum has been great...
just my 2 cents worth but if i buy another trike it will a new Harley with a conversion kit. the tri-glides are just to boxy looking in the back end and some of the conversions are just absolutely gorgeous with all the curves they have that make the bike look like it flows. again, just my opinion.
My mechanic told me the seat on the 14 Triglide is different than the seat on the 14 Ultra.
Alan . Drop the rear tire pressure down to 22lb
if riding one up with your weight I would even go to 20lb!
you well find changing that exhaust well make a lot of difference for i have a 2010 tri glide and it made a lot of difference and i don't have water cool system although kinda wish i did cause living here in Arizona gets mighty hot in the summerHi Alan, my wife and I have rode our 2014 Tri Glide now 750 miles. The only thing I don't like is the excessive heat on my wife's right leg. The water cooled stuff on the new TG didn't help in that area. I am looking forward to the 1000 mile mark so I can change all the fluids especially the engine oil. I am finding it hard to get used to the new braking system but works well. It's hard for me not to grab that front brake. I will probably replace the entire exhaust this winter removing the cat and dyno the thing with the new tuner. On my 2010 TG this really helped the heat problems.
Have a fun summer riding.
My dealer installed the 2" pullbacks on my 14 Triglide yesterday......what surprised me was when my mechanic called me to tell me that I didn't need to purchase the braided lines unless I wanted to. I saved about $350.00 (parts and labor) by using the stock lines and it works just fine. I have had other dealers tell me the braided lines were required....just FYI, that just isn't the case (at least not on the 14 Ultra or 14 Triglide). I also bought the Road Zeppelin seat. I did this within 60 days of my Triglide purchase and therefore the seat (electrical and air bladders) is covered for the duration of the warranty.......The biggest difference in the pullbacksis that I can now ride with a slight bend at the elbow rather then a full extension of my arms. I am a 6-0 with a 33-34" sleeve length. The Road Zeppelin does set me up slightly higher but I use the 15" windshield so it isn't an issue. Ride safe
