2013 tri glide

I believe the Ultra classic had changes almost every single year. Maybe not MAJOR ones all the time, but changes none the less.

The one change I wished they would make - is get rid of that %$#@ air temp gage and replace it with an oil temp gage or something else that is actually useful.

That's called smart marketing. Sell something as standard equipment that is useless and then offer an optional piece to replace it that has value and the folks will buy it. Make money twice.

Gave my dealer a deposit on an Anniversary Edition on Saturday, delivery is about 4 weeks out. I am already driving my wife crazy with the excitement.
Been 4 wheels only for a quite awhile.

We just purchased our Anniversary TG Monday. # 299. We were looking at a blue/ black & anniversary came in so had 1st shot to get. Love it unfortunately left to be stored for the winter. We were visiting our son in NC when it came in and was hoping to see one at dealer be fore. Making a decision. Stopped in London,Ky. On way down not there stopped again on way back & there. 301 sitting there.

I was at my dealers new bike showing a few weeks ago. I was checking out the anniversary TG and noticed that the rear trunk door color was not the same as the rest of the bike. I brought it to the attention of the general manager and told him I was ready to cut a check for it until I saw the mismatch(I was joking of course since I just bought a 2012 TG). He was shocked and said he would call Harley and find out what was up.
The door did not have any metalflake in the bronze color. I told him if I had bought that and then seen the difference in the sunlight, I'd really be pissed.
I checked mine when I got home - paint it the same as the rest of the bike. That was a relief. ThumbUp

Harley told him that was a standard (anniversary) paint job. WTF is that? :AGGHH:

So anyone getting the anniversary paint job or any color for that matter - check your trunk doors color. Maybe it was just a fluke.

I personnally would not like that. Some may not care.

Good paint quality was one of the things Harley was known for, I think its a thing of the past because they are slipping. The trunk door on my dads 09 was a different shade of red than the rest of the trike. He managed after a fight to get it replaced, I think HD has a QC problem and their slipping due to heavy bean counting.

Saw a brown 2013 trike at a dealer recently. Can't imagine many people finding it attractive enough to buy one.

I just got a new 2013 TriGlide in black. Didn't have much of a color choice. love the bike, just not crazy about the color.

Why is it that one of the most expensive bikes would have the worst color choices?

I may get hate mail for this, but have you seen the pain schemes on the CVO's? I don't think I've ever seen one paint job that looked good. Remember that watermellon green one a few years back??? :AGGHH:

:Coffee:

My dealer has a 2013 2 tone Blue Road King CVO with the lighter blue being the new crushed saphire paint. No two are alike and it looks very good, specially in the sunlight. Has too many other xtras that I would never use though...very upgraded sound system, uncomfortable looking seat, big ugly snorkle looking air sucker. But I do like the paint.

I was planning to buy a 2013 TG. Did not like the color choices very much until I saw the Anniversary color scheme. One has lived at my house now since Oct 6. But I understand it was so fast just black they had to add the brown to slow it down. Got a real kick when a little girl pointed at it and said "It's all sparkly".

live on Long Island and watched today as my 2012 triglide big blue pearl was hauled after being dipped in sea water from Sandy.
Now that we have power back after almost 2 weeks life is slowly returning. So looking to replace. Looked at the new bronze anniversary edition and just not sure about the color. The blue is beautiful when the sun hits it. Have not seen the bronze in the sun and the red is just to red. Also not sure about the midnight pearl/silver based on pictures. Need to see it in person.
Tempted to hold off to see if Harley introduces a mid year color.

Whizmo-Black is the fastest and if you wax the heck out of that brown strip it will be right back up there :Congrats: Besides all HDs are born black , arnt they?

a truly disappointing 2013 new model introduction.no cooling solution ;a major problem on all harleys.no cvo tri glide ;just paint and badges on the anniversary models.glitter and no real improvements.also the truly awfull suspension remains the same.how sad

I agree Mark, I had a 2012 Tri Glide and rode it 2400 miles and the heat was almost unbearable plus not much of a rear brake, rode like crap because of the straight axle and made all kinds of strange noises in the engine and lacking power so I traded it for a 2012 GL1800 Goldwing Roadsmith trike and now I have a cool engine with twice as much power which rides like a "Cadillac" and has great brakes.......If Honda would only make a trike they could take most of the market....but it ain't a Harley...and that is the good part of it....

My experience is that it totally depends on where you ride. I had my trike down south this winter, shortly after I bought it, and it road great. I brought it back to northern MN this Spring and it rode so terrible I put Legend Air Suspension on it (which in my case was worth every penny). The difference is the roads. They really stink up here!

Hi, I just install the Legend Shocks in my Tri Glide 2013, can you tell me what is the PSI you are using with two Up
Thanks
