As the title suggests, our 2010 is going in tomorrow. We paid for an extended service plan that includes front and rear brakes(the rears squeal horribly), all lubrication, and our extended warranty is good till June 2017. Since we will be seeing some of you in Kerrville next month, and it will be a nearly 2000 mile trip, what else should I have them REPLACE? Those of you that have had problems that crop up around 20,000 miles, if you could give me a list, that would be excellent!

The only problems i had with my 11... [38+k] Both out of warranty, Was the reverse motor.. And an on going problem with the two head bolts on the stabilizer bracket coming lose.. Last weekend i pulled the bolts out and added some lock-tite # 268 stick to the treads..
You might want to have them checked out..

Service

I just p/u my 2010 H.D. Trike today after its 70,000 mile service - other than rear brakes / rotors being totally shot things came out great. Of coarse we do regular services/maintenance but never had a reverse or motor mount problem (or steering stabilizer).

Wife/I both have '10s and we LOVE THEM!

Scott, start keeping an eye on your volt meter. My stator likes going by the 25k mark. Usually after a long riding day. FYI just passed the 103k mark. Runs great since HD rebuilt my '10 TG at 86k at their expense.

My head bolt to the mount broke at 35k HD fixed it under extended warrantee (2013) they had to replace the front head. The bolt broke of in the head.

I had one brake off also, No warrantee i managed to get it out with a hammer and chisel by tapping it counter clockwise and it spun out.....

Here is my Dealer service guide.

Head bearings greased, front fork fluid change, brake fluids flushed?

Bob :D

You might want to have them check the front wheel bearing. Mine went south at 20K. Dealer said they had problems with the original on the 2010s.
I really hope I am just forgetting my front bearings being replaced. When I recently had the TG in for 100k service, I asked if the front bearings were still 100k. They were on my '04 electraglide. Anyways, they checked them and said they looked good. I hope so.

Scott,

Look in your Owner's Manual, my 2011 HD Tri Glide has a section "Maintenance Scheduling" with a table showing regular service intervals. These are a guide for the HD Service Tech.
They have taken care of my trike every 5,000 miles and I am happy, I just turned 145,000. Plan on going to Kerrville TX, see you there.

Larry
