Roadsmith Owners Forum: Post Your Roadsmith Pics

My father had Roadsmith convert his 2007 HD Ultra Classic last year and loves it. I came across this 2008 about a month ago that is an original one owner bike converted in 2010. Trike was recently updated with S&S 106 big bore kit so seems to move out pretty well the few times I have rode it. My wife and I are going to take a 1,000 mile trip through some beautiful Idaho fall scenery and then make the loop across Lolo pass coming home in a couple of weeks. Excited to put some miles on it. Been riding two wheels for a lot of years and the trike is taking some getting used to.

2020 Ultra Limited in Scorched Orange with Roadsmith HDTR kit that I installed myself this past fall. Has the Roadsmith Rake kit as well.

I’ve also installed a Wood Performance WM8-22XE cam & lifters, Fuelmoto catless head pipe & Jackpot mufflers, Power Vision tuner, AC/DC air cleaner, Rekluse clutch slave, Baker compensator, and 2+2 handlebars.

Beautiful Who did the paint? Roadsmith ?
Yes, Roadsmith painted the back half to match the front half of the bike. I sent them pictures of the painted graphic accents on the bike and a couple of pencil sketches of how I would like them to do it on the rear fenders. They went above and beyond and hit it out of the ballpark. I sent them a side cover with both painted colors of the bike and they color matched the shade of orange almost perfectly, but the metal flake is just a tad larger. In the sun, it really glistens and really glad I converted my bike instead of trading for a factory Tri-Glide. Plus it rides so much better with the IRS!

I will have to say my only regret with the conversion kit is I didn't pop the extra $1k to get the fuel tank option. The 114 M8's are pretty thirsty to begin with, then add a cam, fuel tuner, and the extra weight of the trike conversion and I'm down in the 30-32mpg range now. When we ride with some of our friends that are on 2 wheels, I get a little nervous sometimes running low on fuel. I'll be giving Jim a call at Roadsmith sometime soon and see how difficult it might be to add the tank after the fact.

Going to Laconia this year I ran out of gas; I got home went on eBay bought 2 damaged tanks cut them up made one 7-gallon tank. I have an Indian Roadmaster non interstate I get 40 mpg taking it easy, highway 80 mph 30 mpg. CSC does not make an extra tank. I really like the paint & colors on yours. I am in the process of painting mine know I almost went orange, but I mixed up this really dark maroon that looks black with a little bit of red flake
