2010 Goldwing Roadsmith rear brake pads and how to

Hey folks, I'm new to this site,, Barry Higginbotham, from East Texas. I have a 2010 Goldwing RoadSmith trike. As Patti and I went out to eat tonight, I heard the rear brakes scrubbing, , , time for new pads.

I have never worked on a trike other than changing oil/filter, but have changed numerous pads on cars.

I am trying to find what brake pads to purchase. I have read that RoadSmith uses VW brake parts. True??

What is the brand/part number of the brake pads?

Can someone point me in the right direction??

Per Roadsmith Owners Manual

For units installed after March 1, 2011.

11" dual piston calipers brake pads VW 311-698-151B.

Barry, I hope this helps you. If this doesn't work for you, you can call Roadsmith with the year of the trike kit and they should be able to give you the part numbers for the pads and rotors. I'm not sure if it's still available, but you may be able to find the owners manual on Roadsmith's web page.
