What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Alan.....While you were down there did you check the Tie Link Bracket [2- 9/16th Bolt's]

that hold the steering damper.....They have been very problematic over the years..

And will loosen to the point of damaging the head.....

Yea... But the one's you got from the hardware store came in a loose pile and the clerk put them in a plain brown paper bag for you.....The one from Harley comes Individually Wrapped in a plastic bag sealed and bar coded ...Emblazoned with the Harley Logo......

The bag is worth more than the contents...;);)...

DK CUSTOMS

After the Az gathering, we went by DK Customs, to have the axle retainer kit installed on the way back to Ohio.

DK normally does not do installations, they amount to around less than 1% of the business. But I was lucky as this

was a bit of a slow time & they wanted to video the installation, for future posting on their site. I did not have an

Issue as yet,but saw a picture of Kevin's trike axle bearing wear a year or so ago at 30 some thousand miles.

We had 46,000 on our 16 & fully intend to do more on the 2020.

This is my last Trike due to age & we still average a lot of miles so I looked at "preventive" maintenance. Devon

(the D in DK) is an amazing innovator & a great person who did a great job installing & cleaned up some loose metal filings

& chips left by the factory, that were attached around the magnectic brake sensors. Above & Beyond !!!

Also they installed an EBS system to video also. That is something I had thought about more than once over the years,

but never did. Devon also did an amazing job of hiding that, so the Mothership does not see it.

Many Thanks to DK customs. O yeah, Janiene was so impressed by Devons politeness & extra care, she wants to adopt him.

THANKS DK

Installed 2+2 Sweepers, Chrome extended Highway pegs with eagle inserts and Chrome eagle visors for headlight and driving lights.

Hi Pat. Last week I ordered the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers through my dealer through Drag Specialties. Hopefully they'll be in in a week or so. So just wondering if you have any thoughts / insights / suggestions about the install. I've been assured by KW and others on various forums that I won't need switch wire extensions and that both the clutch and brake hydraulic lines will work as is. Hope that was the case for your install. Thanks!

Changed the time in the radio from DST to EST.....And i didn't screw up any other settings...:clapping:....Usually in the past when it came to change the time, I just sold the Trike it was easier for me to do it that way....:D..

Had a nice 100 mile breakfast ride yesterday, today the bike went to the shop for the 25 K service. I found out the dealership is closing at 4 PM tomorrow so everyone can go vote, I thought that was a nice gesture.

Hate to say it but i put my trike away till April. Oct set a new snowfall record of over 20inches so why pay the insurance. Time to head to deer camp

It was above 70 degrees... got it back out of course!

I was really having withdrawals, so very thankful for a warm (for November in Iowa) week. 72 degrees today and probably a couple more like that yet to come. Went for a little loop, a little over 100 miles. Smiled the whole time I think.

Bored silly with all this rain , So i broke down and cleaned and waxed the Tri-Glide...

I used the genuine Honda spray cleaner and wax that i had left over from when i had Hondas ....2008?...It was setting deep in a dark back corner of my garage, The can was almost dead and had an enlarge prostrate cause the cleaner just dibbled out, But it did a great job....But i'm now worried by using a Honda wax on a Harley will my warrantee be null and void ........
