The technician at SHD as well as the owner of another performace shop that does alot of dyno work on both bikes & trikes have stated that they normally see lower torque numbers on trikes than bikes by about 20%.
Anyone else have a similar experience??

Then Harley is taking the advertized specs of 100ftlbs of toruque for the TRI from a two wheel 103 motorcycle more likley from crankshaft.
Has anybody ever dyno'd a GW1800 trike?:Monster:
Their correct, a Trike will show lower numbers due to the increased rotating weight of the drive train.
good question. I looked at my reciept and don't see any numbers related to engine dyno. I will call the deeler and let you know.
Just received dyno sheet from dealer. I am not sure what these numbers mean but I will read what it says.
Max Power=73.65 Max Torque=87.80
Received DYNO info today. I think these are the numbers you want.
Max power=73.65 Max torque=87.80
I am no expert but it seems kinda low for a 103...But who knows what the MOCO has done to the new engines with the cat. in the head pipe... I'm betting it isn't good because of emissions....
