WARNING

When installing any electrical accessory, be certain not to exceed the maximum amperage rating of the fuse or circuit breaker protecting the affected circuit being modified. Exceeding the maximum amperage can lead to electrical failures, which could result in death or serious injury. (00310a)

NOTE

Running amperage should be 4 A.

The fan features switched On/Off/Auto operation. In the ON mode, the fan is active at low speeds, and turns off when the bike reaches 40mph. As speed drops, the fan turns back on at 35mph. In the AUTO setting, the fan operates based on a combination of speed parameters and specific engine and ambient temperatures.

This is the answer to removing heat? I dunno if I like this1

I just had my local dealer install the fan on my 2017 FW about 2 weeks ago.

I can tell the difference. My son in CA. got me the fan from the dealer that sold me the trike.

My local dealer charged 1.5 hours labor & I was glad to pay it. I do all the routine maintenance including fluid changes, but I left this 1 to them. You have to have a dealer re-flash the system to update it. The mode the fan is in is displayed in the speedometer LCD display momentarily as you toggle through the 3 modes.
