I have been testing the heat on my M8 again

1- After removing the fork mounted air dam, my temp came down by + 35 degrees, now running constant under 300 degrees

2- I added more fuel via Lambada Power Vision Tune { Thanks Kevin and Devin @ D K }

3- Initially my MPG dropped .1 to 44.4, that did not last but a few miles til the bike warmed to 250 degrees, the fan kicked on, the temp dropped, and I got the .1 back

4- I am going to continue to play with this and post my findings

I hope this is helpful

I will be interested to see what else you find. I'm got the 2017 M8 FW with stock fan cooled oil. Here in Texas with an ambient temp of 95 my front cylinder is running around 270 and rear right at 300 F (60 to 65 mph highway). Using an infrared thermometer. I'm thinking about taking one of the mid frame air deflectors off just to see what if any difference that may make on the rear cylinder.

I did not find ANY temp change taking my RJ Orginals heat deflectors off:cool:

Wt the Mighty Mite on I am nnot seeing anything close to 300 degrees any more

Today the air temp is @ 93 with humidity @ 78 percent I was running @ 75 mph with ET of 280 This is with my air dam back on

I am going to test run 1 more time Friday and wrap it up

1 thing 4 sure

The Mighty Mite fans DO WORK consistant lower temps

IMO the M8 doesrun hotter by design

The MOCO designed this engine this way to burn the fuel better, this is not proven yet just mo
