Late nighters---unite!!!

Huh ....... Too much going on down here in Dallas. Too many friends still active DPD. :AGGHH:
I've been praying about the situation ever since I became aware of it. Some idiots are seeing this as street justice.

The freaking media needs to stop broadcasting every shooting by a police officer. Nobody really knows what is going on unless they are right there involved in the scuffles these officers are going through.

They are always being negative against the officers.

The irony is that till now, we have escaped the madness. What makes it worse is that the march was very peaceful and the perps were in no way a part of it other than using it as a venue for their stupidity. As the shooter is a a, it will be interesting to see how the white house reacts.

Obozo did just what you would expect of him. I honestly think he ordered it as a smoke screen to get the media off Hillary myself.

Need the national guard in town till things cool off. However doesn't mean that it won't start over after they leave. No win situation, just a band aid for all to ponder. JMO

I've been totally remiss in my duties...forgot to say I trucked into work tonight. Couldn't trike because the plate is expired. Paid taxes on it and tried to renew it, but my insurance agency hadn't put the fact that I'm insured into the state computer system, so I wasn't allowed to license it.

Lots of crazy things happening. Jim
Welcome to the thread! Stop by anytime, it doesn't have to be just late nights. Somebody will eventually answer you. :D

I just looked in your signature area. Wow. You were the highest ranking enlisted man in the Army at one time. I'm very impressed. ThumbUp

I'm betting that most officers gave you a wide berth.

Yep, he's where all problems used to stop dead in their tracks.

Bill, I do pick from time to time. I sure enjoy heading to East TN, where I grew up and pick with the brother. I do the mando, guitar, and some fiddle.

consitter and hogcowboy, the Army was good. Once a Soldier always a Soldier. I am paying the price for some of the things that I did, like playing in the jungle for a year. As to the way things happen when you are a Command Sergeant Major and you have a good military boss, goes like this. I was introduced by the General at a Commanders and Staff meeting, he said the CSM works for me and if he asks you to take care of something, just do it, he will not ask you to do something that is illegal. If he asks you to do something that is against policy, I will discuss it with him. When he said that, the pressure was on me to be right at all times. You see, I had very little experience at that time, just promoted to the #2 position, I had 17 years in the Army and was 37 years old. Most of these men and women at that level were old enough to be my parents. I enjoyed most of what I did and no 2 days were alike. Jim

It is late and I'm tired. Scott, what's up? This thread hasn't had any activity for a couple of days so I decided to bump. Everyone seems to have disappeared. :xszpv:

Nope, haven't disappeared, just spending a lot of time outside enjoying the weather, and neighbors. When the dreaded cooler weather comes , then I consider the computer as indoor sports. Otherwise still vertical. :pepper:

I had my 8th surgery on my ankle due to a wreck that totaled the bike back in 2012. So I've been sleeping in with the pain pills help.:pepper:

So,what does everyone want to talk about?

I just wanted to bump the thread and see if the nocturnal group was lurking. Hope all is well with Scott and his family.

Yep, I imagine everyone is spending more time on the better machine, but it is dark and I'm in trophy deer country, so the night driving is slow if I get the urge.

You must of crushed that angle. Earlier the wife and I took a ride and I talked with a guy that is having the same problem and he just purchased a free wheeler. Said he couldn't handle his Street Glide after the accident. He is loving the three suffering with the angle. Eight surgery, wow. Hope the surgery goes well and you eventually lose the pain.

Actually, I'm officially on stay cation. Depending on what's going on around the house, you may or may not hear from me.

Please guys, keep Raeden in your prayers. She has been getting very aggressive of late. Last night, we were at a local restaurant and she got very aggressive towards us parental units. We sat her into a time out. Unfortunately, what we didn't bank on was there was a set of blinds close to her that she grabbed and tried to tear out of the window. In doing so, she ripped her left index fingernail up from the bottom of the nail bed. It looked just like bone sticking up from her finger, so we took her to the ER. Luckily, it wasn't broken.

She was very aggressive again this morning. She is just so strong for a little 69 lb 12 year old. There is not going to be any easy fix for this. Just have to work through it.

I actually asked them to just cut the thing off at one point. I honestly feel I would be much further along. But one doc want to try a complete ankle replacement. For the most part it was a good thing. I just have so much nerve damage that other problems keep popping up.

I refused to be knocked completely out on this one so got to help by holding one pair of forceps. It amazes me just what they do to the human body. No way could I move parts that far on my own. I wouldn't suggest anyone do it this way if they are the least bit squeamish. It was an experience to say the least. I had what they call a pylon fracture. Leg was broken in 3 places and yes, the ankle was crushed as well.

I did get a trike(Spyder) but my wife stole it when she could see I was going to keep riding 2 wheels as long as possible. So it got her back to riding anyway which is a win/win as far as I'm concerned. She wrecked 20 years ago. I sorta shamed her into riding again I guess.:)
