For those of you who have Facebook you can follow me at: Bill's Alaska Motorcycle Adventure

The weather is spectacular, but some of the roads are a little rough and all the others are extremely rough.
 
Not sure if you're there yet or what part of the state you're touring as I don't do facebook, but there are a lot of forest fires burning out of control up there right now.
Be careful/Ride carefully...
 
Not something I'd ever want to do. I've seen too many bikes come back from there beat up over bad roads and lousy weather.

:Agree: As others mentioned you can buy another bike, and let the next poor sucker worry about the punishment you delivered to that bike. Myself, I'd rather not beat the tar out of my ride, I get them the way I like them and tend to want to keep them vs starting all over again. The only time I ditch a ride is if it starts giving me problems, then its goodbye.

did this trip two years ago in July *got a few more rocks on top of the world highway it was all gravel then *and under construction in places. ride with respect may take a little more time but just enjoy the scene want to go again. take the ferry stop along the way to seward or whittier
