I just installed some remote battery posts in my Stallion trunk in case the battery goes low so you don't have to remove the wheel for a jump start.. I ordered the posts from Jegs http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/10315K/10002/-1 and bought red and black 4 guage battery cables 29 inches long with eye terminals on each end at the local auto parts store..Drilled the two 1 1/4 inch holes in the trunk using a hole saw and attached and routed cables to the battery...The terminal bolts on the battery were plenty long to attach the cables to.......The cost was less than $50 for the materials.......ThumbUp

Nice job and installation... After I replaced my '09 Stallions OEM battery with an Optima (yellow top), I opted to install a gauge to monitor my battery rather than to install the remote battery posts. Here's a link to the gauge I installed
BB-SBM12-PS Battery Bug Battery Monitor :: Argus Analyzers Paid about $40 for the gauge, if I recall through Wingstuff. So far, I'm very pleased with its performance. ThumbUp

I've have had them on my Stallion since new and they also serve to help someone else needing a jump start !!! I know of several Stallion owners that have installed the cables and they are glad the did.

I like the battery monitor thingy. I was not aware of that kind of device.
I believe in a pinch I could get a jumper cable through the wheel for a jump. The positive lead to the battery can be seen through the wheel and the ground could be connected somewhere else. My 2 cents.

In most cases, you won't have a dead battery on a good day or inside!! Probably in a muddy lot in a rain storm !!! Now you can try not to put electrical arcs on your rim in the mudd. But who knows, you might just get lucky.

I think the Battery Bug idea is GREAT too....I am also going to install it ...Thanks for all the input and ideas everyone!!! :wave4:

Well the parts arrived and sat on the workbench until today ...... left the map light on last week. Installed the parts - quick charge and good to go. An excellent mod! pepper

I may be way out in left field on this one folks (doubt it), but wouldn't the factory-installed LED voltmeter on every Stallion perform the same function as an aftermarket "battery bug"?

If the meter isn't reading approximately 12.0 volts with engine off OR about 2 volts higher with engine running / charging system in operation then something's definitely amiss with the electrical system.

Welcome Smoke, from Rockford, IL. Do you have a Stallion? Good info to be had here. We are glad you are here.

The answer to your question is NO. That's why I installed one. Watch the video. The Battery Bug - YouTube . It will explain why they are different and why it's important to know the "state" of your battery over time.
