How OLD are you...... really!

61 years old. had bikes since I was 16. Rode Harleys most of the time, except for about 6 months(Kawasaki KZ 1000) when I was a motorcycle cop, before we got the FXRP's and then the Road King police bikes.

Just bought a trike as knees getting bad, and didn't feel comfortable with wife on back of the 2 wheel Ultra I have.

I'm in the same boat as most of you. 66 and don't want to worry when stopping on gravel or on an off camber corner riding 2 up. Wife traded my '09 ultra on a '12 Tri Glide as a Christmas present and I didn't even know it!! I think I'll keep her after 44 years.

Old Guy

I'm 58 years old and my Thymic Carcinoma Cancer is 2.5 years old.
Cancer is so stupid that it doesn't understand that when
it achieves victory, it dies.
Until then, I'm going to go down kicking and scratching all the way.
Love to be in the wind!!
Sam aka chappy

I LOVE your attitude, Chappy! Ride safe and ride long!

Been riding on two wheels for over 55 years.. Born Mar43. Still ride on two wheels but when wife (65yrs old) rides with me its on the trike purchased 2011. 3000 mile trip planned for June on trike back to Wyoming-----ThumbUp

I'll be 63 next week good Lord willing.

I made it 50 years on 2 wheels, starting with a Cushman Eagle when I was 12. But a hip replacement, both knees needing replacement and a touch of vertigo did me in about 3 weeks ago. Traded both my 2 wheel Harleys toward the TG and I'm lovin' life again. My wife even noticed a greater sense of security.

If any onlookers think I'm wimpy, hey whatever-in still in the wind!

Will hit 60 before the end of the year. Had a '12 Road Glide Ultra and was too much for me at slow speeds. Wife was scared to ride with me so traded it in on a Tri-Glide. Waiting on Mother Harley for painted parts. Safety is the largest factor in the switch for both of us. Ride Safe...Mike

63 plus still on 2 wheels today but Knee's and Hip's are not happy so for comfort of me and my Dear will go to the Trike Shop, White Bear Lake,MN next Wed. Doug has a Road Smith Kit ready for me. Hope to be riding it next weekend and continue as long as the Good Lord lets me.

I'm almost 61 been riding since I was 15 got my first trike in 2001 when I had a Motortrike kit put on my GL1500 Goldwing. Hated it rode it two years and traded it for a two wheeler. Rode two wheels untill 2008 and traded for a Gl 1800 Goldwing with a Champion kit rode nice but just couldn't get that two wheeler thing out of my system, so I bought a 2006 Ultra Classic and loved it. We retired last June and went on the road with our Toyhauler. We could only take one bike so I sold the Goldwing trike and kept the Ultra. Went down in Tn. then a few weeks later went down in Yellowstone National Park Mt. I had to face reallity with artheritus kicking my butt I just can't hold up a 900 pound bike while riding two up. After all that is the reason I retired early just could not do my job anymore. I went to Yellowstone Harley in Bellgrade MT. They gave me a fantastic trade on the Ultra toward a 2011 Cool Blue TriGlide. That was July 3rd last year so a year and a bunch of chrome later we are happy with the TriGlide knowing this is the way it has to be. George

63 years old and been riding 2 wheels since I was 16. Very first bike was a Honda 160cc that cost $495 brand new. Remember those days when anyone on 2 wheels waved because there weren't that many of us. Today everyone waves and 2 wheelers are all over the place. It was getting to be a struggle with the legs giving out. I miss the power and cam of my last ride and have vowed not to open this motor up. At least I've still got my face in the wind. Chappy and I do our first trike road trip to Rolling Thunder. Sure hope I get better then 30mph. I like the trike, nice and comfortable and stable.

I am 58, 59 in August. Retired peace officer, now disabled. right ankle going out, dr said needed joint replacement, but I am on insulin pump, so he just cleaned it out, put a brace on it and said my motorcycle days were over. First big bike was '83 Venture, traded for a new '95 Tourglide, due to lower seat height. Tourglide is my 4th new Harley. Broke my heart to trade off my'05 Solid Blue Peace Officer Ultra, with alot of bling on it including old style chrome double lightbars. I was going to wear my soft brace, high top Redwings, and ride anyway, but the wife said she wouldn't ride with me again, afraid I would get hurt. Tried voyager kit, it was okay, but made me want the taste of a TriGlide, so I bought a 2012 Shriner 140th Ann. Model. Artic White. Have almost 500 miles on it, and LOVE IT. As I said elsewhere, it was either trade for a Triglide, or a Mustang convertible.

I just turned 77 years old and my wife is 76 years old. We have been married for 20 months and riding together for 24 months. She rides with me about 85% of the time I am on the bike.

I had a severely broken left ankle and left wrist a couple of years ago and felt very uneasy every time I stopped with Caryl on the back of my Ultra so I bought the H-D TriGlide. Now we are completely at ease at every stop.

50+ years on two wheels but after totaling out two Royal Stars last year one that put me and my wife in the hospital for 9 days i have gone from two wheels to three. After six months on 3 I am feeling better about the move but still not in love as I was with the 2 wheelers. My wife of 3 years did ride with me but is undecided about the trike so far.I am 66.

58 years old. My experience seems the exception on this thread. I rode a Honda 125 for 3 years 30 years ago. After moving to Oregon 6 years ago, we love all the scenic routes and spend a lot of time in our "cage" touring. Many times my wife of 35 years and I would agree these would be beautiful rides on a motorcycle. But, alas I am not as young as I once was, and didn't think I should expect to be able to properly manage a 2 wheeler.

The Can Am ads enlightened me to the concept of a trike. Once I realized Harley now has the factory built Tri-Glide, we decided the Harley was for us rather than the street snowmobile of BRP.

We are approaching 2 weeks with our tri-glide, and had some unusually nice Oregon weather for the first week, and got to put about 400 miles on our Tri-Glide. We both love it!!

70 I've been riding 60 years. BSA, Triumph, Norton, Arial, Honda, Indian and Harley. Built several VW trikes. Wife is comfortable on 3, Bought a GL 1800 trike about 5 years ago she loves it! If she loves it I love it! great for the road.
I have a CSC fat Boy Lo trike for me to play with. best of both worlds!! If I want to ride 2 up I borrow my sons street glide. Life is good!!!!! The sun shines on me.

60 Been riding since 16. Started with the Honda 305 Scrambler 1968. Have had 9 Harley's. First TG was 2010. Now have a 2012 TG. Knees are going to hell. My wife loves to ride and we love the trike. Won't go back to two wheels after having a TG.

I will be 55 in November. Went to three wheels in 07 and love it. Bad knees and short legs don't work on a Goldwing. Wife loves the trike too.

My husband and I are both 52. He's not ready to convert to a trike, but I sure am. I should have it in about a month!! Can't wait to post pics!!

Hello in Green Bay, we are 80 miles up north from you in Lakewood. I am 70 and converted to a trike about 18 months ago. Wife loves it a lot better than the Ultra.
