Two weeks ago a woman in a fit of road rage at another driver slammed her car in reverse and side swiped the back end of my trike.

I just worked out a deal with her insurance agent for me to do the work fixing my machine.
A friend of mine came over and was following me to his shop.

A woman came out of nowhere and slammed into the other side of the rear end. This time it also includes damage to the crash bar foot pegs etc.
Also damage to the paint on the fairing.

26 years on the road without so much as a scratch on my old tour glide trike and BAM!
Twice in two weeks?

W T F?

It has absorbed (hard) glancing blows from a car on each fender now with no visible cracking!

I looked at the front crash bar and it took the brunt of the blow with no damage to the frame and it's not even bent that bad and it got hit so hard it knocked me sideways.

You know something this old bike is tougher than boiled owl shit.
That's twice it has taken the blow with me standing up and walking away from it, both legs intact.

of course on the other hand, you have been incredibly lucky to not have anything broken.

My insurance agent is coming over in the morning to start a photo file to protect me and the progressive ins. adjuster I dealt with this morning is coming back tomorrow to photograph the new damage so they can fight with State farm.

The poor lady that hit me today wasn't very happy about receiving a citation and would have climbed the cops chest had she been younger.
I cant blame her for being upset, It would upset me also.
In truth it all happened so fast all I know is I got hit hard enough shake me up and had to start sucking oxygen off my portable machine pretty hard for a while.
Scared the shit outta me but I didn't have to take any nitro. just sit down for a bit.

On further examination this morning it looks like the forks are slightly bent so it just adds another issue to a chaotic situation.

I also have to keep in mind im looking for front end parts and a crash bar for an obsolete motorcycle as well as dealing with the back end.:gah:

If anybody does a search and finds parts by chance please let me know ok?

Thanks, I found a crash bar on v-twin manufacturing.
I will need to find 41mm front forks for it. I cant figure out if they have them at this time.

You know I took that whole front end apart when I installed the raked triple trees and I just may let Harley Davidson do that shit for me.
