Wyrd brothers cams

So I was thinking, I need more low end torque without hurting my engine and keeping the valve train happy. A good friend of mine in Michigan knows Doug Coffee at Headquarters Cams. I contacted Doug and he is selling a brand new cam grind. They are XH-66's. The power difference at low end is un-believable...really! No Bull, they work great. Very easy on the valve train, no noise from the engine, no rattling or anything else. These cams really pull hard low end. Check them out, I will be giving Doug more info as I put more miles on them.....http://hqsupport.freeforums.net/thread/187/wyrd-brothers-wb-xh-66

It kind of bothers me that the new trend in cams is to not publish specs. It's not that I am an expert to be able to understand all the numbers, but to some shop owners it can be valuable info to help making a decision for a customer. For instance, how would someone choose between the TTS-100 and the XH-66 other than reviewing dyno sheets? It makes it even harder with trikes, since most areas don't even have a dyno available for them.
Just a thought....

I know exactly how you feel....I did much soul searching before I bought these cams from Headquarters. It was purely blind faith.....
so I took my heavy baby out today, just got back from a 70 mile run. Half of it was city and the other half I-75. A really big difference in torque coming out of the hole, just general shifting, nothing like racing. Then the sunlight got the best of me and I took it down I-75 here in Michigan and was stabbing it from a 50mph roll to 90 in 5th and the same in 6th gear. It pulled really hard in 6th gear from 55 to 90...a lot better than I had before. I didn't have my wife on board nor was I loaded down, but from what I felt, there would be no problem passing trucks or slow traffic on the expressway. I also think the big city thunder baffles are playing a large roll in the performance. Now remember, my 09 trike has no cats, so it's free flowing....just my $.02.......I do wish I had the specs but these work really well for my application....
If I had to choose a cam for my trike and I had the money and time for testing this would be the order.....
1. Wyrd Brothers XH-66's
2...TTS-100
3...TW-222 from Bobby Knight (these cams really have a great dyno run but again it's all subjective to the engine tune and the exhaust system....just cause you want to have loud pipes, these are the worst for torque....

I'll bet Mr. Wizard would change your list! LOL
I think I would add the Tman 555Tqster also. It comes on a little later, but a proven tq maker.

Yea, your right....lol...........from all the hard work Wiz has done..................
You know, I'm glad the cam grinders are finally trying to take care of our heavy bikes....but early torque is good for any motorcycle.
My bike is running really good so far, and this was just with a tune (SEPST) that Duke sent me from Headquarters for the XH-66.
I haven't even smart tuned it yet or had it dynoed. The bike really runs great.....as long as my mileage looks decent, I'll probably leave it alone....if it ain't broke don't fix it! (I hope that applies) '

Got another mileage report on the TTS-100 cams yesterday.

3 hour ride down the west coast with an average of 48.8 MPG on a 2014 Street Glide.

Still waiting for nice weather to check mine.
