Anyone have a scratch remover/coverup recommendation for a GW. Have tried several with no luck. No damage but no luck.

This has also been covered on other MC forums and from what I've read, there really isn't any product that works well or is worth the effort. Most people just resign themselves to getting a new windshield if it bothers them that much or the scratches are really beginning to obstruct their view.

I can tell you that I highly recommend the F4 windshields if you do look to replace yours.

Only solution is to replace as they don't last as long as the bike. I can highly recommend the F4 also. It has superior clarity, water runoff, ease of cleaning and scratch resistance. Downside is that you can buy 2 new windshields for the price of the F4. Like they say, "you pays your money and takes your choice."

Another vote for the F4!

I reploaced my Memphis Shades a couple of months ago because despite my cleaning it only with vertical wipes iut developed a kind of circular haze that reflected light at odd angles.

The F4 is the Easiest-to-clean windscreen I have ever had - and the clearest. Totally distortion-free. Their ad showing the "steelwool windshield wiper" and the comments of other owners sold me.

F-4's are great. Also, another one to look at is the "Windbender". It is height adjustable and "throws" the wind stream up and over your head allowing for a clear view of the road as you look over the top of the shield. Not sure if I clearly described it, but look HERE for a better understanding. Select an appropriate link on the left side of the page. Don't let the cost of the electrically adjustable model scare you off - mine is manually adjustable at a more modest cost - and I rarely adjust it anyway.

Bed Bath and Beyond sells an item called Perfect Glass that is great for motorcycle windshields. Never harms the plastic and doesn't streak. I usually switch out mine every 3 or 4 years with cheaper ones that serve me just fine, but this glass cleaner seems to extend the life.

Unfortunately if you ride it enough the windshield will get damage. A couple years ago my dad and I traveled out west, the trip cost me a windshield from all the crud being kicked up from cars and trucks in front of me. I had all kinds of small pits which killed the clarity of the windshield causing me to replace it.

I had an F4 but it's not adjustable and sometimes I like seeing over the shield, maybe also look at the F2
