I want to know if there is any problem mounting an auto Garmin GPS on the lower part of the windshield just about 3 inches above the adjustable vent. I used a Ram 2 inch square mount with 3M double adhesive tape. It seems to hold fine. I might drill a couple small holes in the base through the windshield so it will remain holding without any problem. The windshield is a 28 inch Slipstreamer. It is taller than I am and came with the bike. I have to look through it.

I mounted the Garmin Auto GPS on the windshield because people have mentioned there is too much vibration if on the handlebars. I had it mounted on the handlebars with the Ram ball mount. I never noticed any major vibrations at all on the handlebars.

Should there be any problem if I drill a couple of small holes in the shield to use nuts and bolts ?

If you do , drill backwards , CCW , or ya might split the windshield . You might want to use soft washers and nylock nuts on the install .

Do it the way Frank is suggesting.....Using the tape just doesn't go with the look of your Trike....IE; Almost an like after thought add/stick on..

I decided to bite the bullet and put 4 holes in the windshield. Worked out fine.2021-12-06 004.jpg2021-12-06 005.jpg2021-12-06 003.jpg I also decided to super glue the cruise on/off button in, since it only works if you hold it in. Now it's in. I did vacuum the white dust out.
