Seeing out the Windshield

Hello all I have a question for you all.

What is the best thing to use on the windshield to be able to see out of it during the sundown hours?

I ride my trike home from football practice everyday and when I am driving towards the sun my windshield completely glares out and I cannot see through it I literally have to sit up as tall as I can and look over the windshield and it's very uncomfortable

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

My windshield is adjusted so I am just barely looking over the top of it. That keeps me from actually looking through the windshield that gets a little bit of scratch or a little bit of Cloudy and makes it hard to see in bright light conditions. I also use plexus on it and it keeps it nice and clear and clean. If the sun is directly in your face there isn't a whole lot you can really do about it though.

I have a Windbender shield on my GL1800 (2006). It is a two piece shield with the bottom part fixed just like a regular shield and the top part slides easily up and down and is retained in place with two pins; one on each rail. I can look over this shield easily or raise it and look through it. I would have no other shield on my bike as looking through on a rainy/wet dark night isn't fun and I generally look over the top of the shield in most instances.
