Why you picked "your" trike

A few strolls through the show room on my way to the parts counter to pick up pieces for the one I have trouble holding up anymore. My wife saying Ooo, that's pretty why don't you buy one? and an unfortunately high credit rating. Haven't regretted it once, most fun I've had in years and it gets me to my new third job cheaper than the truck.

Am I happy with it, Yes, but the VW rear end has limitations.
I am seriously considering buying a used Yamaha Roadstar
and putting a Champion kit on it
OR I see some good buys on triked Honda Valkyries.
A friend has one and swears he will never let it go.

I did alot of shopping on Cycle Trader, at least 6 months worth so I could compare features, milage and types of trikes before I made my purchase. all the best on your search.

I just had my 97 wing triked with a Roadsmith. The dealer I use carries many brands so I asked the lead mechanic which one he would choose. He pointed out the longer wheelbase would be more comfortable for my wife. (#1 Priority!) Also, there are only a few kits with IRS for the GL1500 so that narrowed the field pretty quick. I'm glad I did it and have been riding my trike twice as much as 2 wheels.

Wife got pi$$ed I dropped her twice in one year. In '09 she told me to buy a new bike so I went from an '84 Venture Royale that we both loved to an '09 Royal Star Venture. Chose the Venture for cost, reliability and best warranty.

When she told me to trike it I went with the Hannigan as the choices were Hannigan or Triwing for the RSV and the Hannigan is far superior...
