I had a post about bad experience with a motorcycle parts store which has moved somewhere. Not sure if got pulled by administrators or what. I wonder where it ended up?

JUST A GUESS: RULE #2
Excessive flaming or bashing of any member, company, dealer, manufacturer or brand via forum post, private message, or email will not be permitted. Please resolve any issue you may have outside of the forum.
I guess it's all just a matter of prospective...I come onto this site for information as well as fun and games. I think the original post would fall into the first category. When I was first researching a trike option, I would have prefered to get that kind of information about product and/or service. Just saying- sometimes that information is useful and not just a bitch session. JMHO

This board was set up to help members with personal bike problems and get them resolved through input by other members. Trike Talk discourages trash talk about members, dealers, or parts retailers. If you have a problem with one of these, work it out with the one involved, DO NOT berate on this site. We are a fun group and we want to continue to be seen as freindly.

If you do have a problem with a dealer or vendor. Why don't you use your rights as a consumer to fight for your money back or some recompence. You must have a consumer act in the USA, so use this to great effect to fight any battle you have with any retailer/company rather wash your dirty washing in public so to speak
There is enough trash going around the world just now without hearing moans & groans from what I believe is a hobby, I get enough aggro at work without looking at it on my down time.............Oooops just been slapped by K, LOL
Carry on! ThumbUpThread Title: Warning on (dealership name and location removed)

On 11/29/10, I purchased the Kuryakyn rotor cover and Ring of Fire for my GL1800, paying in excess of $ 200.00. The items were subsequently received and installed. Finishing up on the installation, the last bolt to tighten was the M 6 x 1.0 x 23mm BSCS shoulder bolt in the lower front fender. There apparently was some defect with the bolt to the extent it wasn’t usable.
On 2/7/11, I called Kuryakyn, explained my problem and asked if they could send me a replacement bolt. Finding I did not purchase the item from them, they suggested I contact (dealership name and location removed) who could then contact Kuryakyn for warranty service. I immediately called the (dealership name removed), spoke with (dealer representative name removed), customer service, explained what Kuryakyn told me. He said he would check it out and be back in touch within 2 days. After 8 days of no response, I contacted (dealership name removed) again and was told by (dealer representative name removed) they were working on it.
On 2/22, I heard back from (dealer representative name removed) who suggested the only solution was I return all of the product back to them and they would see what they could do. Since I had already installed on my bike, glued the Ring of Fire to the rotors, had discarded the boxes and modified the wiring to accommodate a switch, I thought his suggestion was ridiculous when I only needed 1 bolt. I asked (dealer representative name removed) if they would accept the return of all these items since they were all assembled at this point and was told he would need to check further. He also told me (dealership name removed) didn’t obtain product from Kuryakyn so would not deal with them on warranty issues. I then asked to speak with (dealer owner name removed), president of the business. (dealer representative name removed) refused saying he was the customer service rep. and was the person I had to deal with. I told him I wasn’t happy with his answer and wanted to speak with someone higher up. He refused to allow this.
I followed up on this refusal with Kuryakyn, spoke with Kim, who was very helpful and prompt in getting a response. I’m happy to report that Kuryakyn went above and beyond what I needed and is sending me the complete hardware kit for the rotor cover. I was very please and satisfied with how they handled my issue. Obviously, I won’t be purchasing any further items from (dealership name removed).
