OK, its time to pick wheels for my new trike "Spike". I have decided to go with a set of Sam Wakim's slick custom wheels from his company ridewrite wheels and I'd really appreciate it if you guys and gals could help me pick a set to go on my Harley trike. Sam specializes in spoke wheels and many of his wheels are featured on some of the nicest custom bikes and trikes on the planet, but he also makes some killer CNC machined wheels too. Check them out on his website and let me know what wheels you think Spike should wear.

Hi Zook, since I like most things rather subtle (and easy to clean!!) I like the El Camino Phantom and the TRX as a backup chose. I am the same with all HD clothing stuff - i.e. Bar and Shield or Harley-Davidson name, with no skulls/flames/etc.

Good luck with your chose!!

Don't like spokes. It maybe a copout but I would need to see the trike compete less wheels to select.

Randy, what did you decide on for wheels & tires?

Leaning hard toward the Chrome Phantom below. I will decide for sure when Sam at RideWright calls me back today.

Randy is it all Black or Black and Orange? If all black then the polished ones if black and orange then the black ones Just my humble vote

Tubeless wire wheel

http://www.americanwirewheel.com/ is a division of Dayton Wire Wheels. They make custom wire wheels for Harleys and Goldwings and others. I had them make three (3) for a Victory trike. They have a silicone seal that is applied to the spoke base of the wheel. It works great if the tire changer is careful.:AGGHH:

Its gloss black with orange graphics...very similar style to this paint job..but more black and a little less orange. Now you know why she's named Spike.
