My dear departed pappy was a truck driver. He taught me three things; 1. to drive as far ahead as I could see, 2. drive for yourself and everyone else on the road, take nothing for granted. 3. drive til the very last second before a crash and hit the softest thing possible. And, I'll add a helmet to that list. For other safety rules, I never assume I am safe going through a green traffic light. I always look both ways for red light runners, and we have a lot of them here. I try to maintain situational awareness...... what's going on around me all the time. There have been times when I find myself becoming too comfortable and just enjoying my inner thoughts and have to mentally "wake up" and pay attention. So far, it has worked for me..... Jim
