What is the last book you read?

Last thing I read was the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King. I've read it through about 4 times (7 books in series), and I discover something new every time.

It's been about 3 years, and I'm thinking it's time for another read through. Yeah, I know that gives away the fact that I haven't read a book in 3 years.

No Easy Day by Mark Owen First hand account of Our Honered Seal teams missions.. what amazing courage and honor.

The Longest Day by Cornelius Ryan 1959.......The German Version....

You read it backwards......:D

Watching the news and reading about the protests and attitudes today it all seemed somewhat and eerily familiar. Went out and dug up late '60's early 70's "social activist" Abbie Hoffman's "Steal This Book" - a manual about how to be a radical subversive.

Yer gonna love it. Courage to the enth degree!

My favorite book regarding courage is "Into the Mouth of the Cat" by Malcolm MacConnell. (This book is about 1st Lt Lance Sijan that was shot out of his F-4 over Laos in '67. Long story short his parents were awarded his Medal of Honor by Pres Ford. He had been severely injured when he punched out and was captured after 46 agonizing days of hide and seek with the NVA. But while at the Hoa Lo prison in Hanoi never complained of his devastating injuries, he only asked how he could assist in helping his fellow POWs escape.

This is a very condensed version of Lance's severely life-threatening injuries and the rest of his unsuccessful story to try to extract him where he sent his air rescue away several times because the anti aircraft fire was so heavy. THAT'S courage!!!)

Bible or Book of Mormon most every day. Just finishes 1491,fascinating read. If what he writes is anywhere near factual it will give a very different perspective on this continent. Starting Right Turn at Machu Picchu. Looks good so far.

The last book I read was The Cure by James McDonald. A story of two researchers who developed an artificial strain of stem cells that could cure any disease... but Big Pharma didn't want it.

Last week was Signature Wounds by Kirk Russell. A story of terrorists stealing control of & using Predator type drones in the USA.

I love reading, have several hundred books in Kindle form on my Mac. Many more on an old first edition Kindle reader. I like everything from westerns to sci-fi to history.

one twelve four twenty one by Tanya Dodge, its about the life of her husband Doug Dodge and his life in the 1% MC world and how he found God which turned his life around.Doug was a friend of mine and we lost him last year to a traffic accident.RIP brother.

Just finished the Art of War ( read it a few times translated by a few different people so they were slightly different)

Just started on Muay Thai, The Art of Fighting

Since you did not specify if you were talking about "real paper" books or "e-books" I will respond. I am currently reading the "Crockett Series" by David R. Lewis. I do not believe the entire series is available in the real print version.

As an aside, I believe strongly that the book snobs that insist that if you cannot smell the ink you are not reading a book are just flat wrong. I have several hundred e-books on my Kindle, some are excellent and some are not so good (pee poor) but with the cost (many free the rest less that 5.00) I always have something to read.

darn.......CRS is clouding my memory at the moment. I can't recall the name of the book but the author was Hunter Thompson when he rode with the Hells Angels and nearly got beat to death. I'm sure somebody will help me with the name of the book. TIA.
