what else do you ride

Back in November, I bought a new '14 Yamaha FJR.
Haven't had a chance to put many miles on it due to the weather, so I've been farkelling it out to suit my tastes.
Great bike with a lot of nice standard features: ABS braking, traction control, heated grips, adjustable windshield, 2 fueling maps in the computer which are rider-selectable: Sport or Tour. The wife has no use for it at all. Won't even sit on it with it standing still on the center stand....LOL. She is strictly sticking with the trike for any of her riding. She thinks I'm crazy as hades....oh well.
It's a lot quicker than anything I've been riding for quite a while, and it really likes to run, especially in the Sport mode. This old man really has to watch it....LOL.
Here's a pic with the bags off:

heres what else i ride when riding solo, but the trike at all times my wife rides with me.ThumbUp

Thats a sharp looking bike.

Dreamed of owning a Norton while serving overseas 66-69, couldn't afford one then. Got married, had children, got better paying jobs. 1975 Norton was going out of production and dealer was selling for more than one third off list price. Couldn't resist the temptation any longer, and bought one. Later on bought and sold a new Suzuki GS1100, and a Ninja 900. Have the BMW K1600 trike now for the wife. But the Norton will always be my favorite. Rebuilt last year, Many new parts, upgrades, chrome, lots of stainless steel, new electronics. Tore it down to the crank and rebuilt everything except the transmission.

I have an 04 Roadstar 1700 that I have ridden coast to coast and love to ride. I ride the trike when my wife goes along and take the R* just for the fun of it.

Until I finally put my '84 Venture Royale back together it's a 2011 Malibu LTZ V6, a 2014 Nissan Altima, and occasionally my wife...

Custom built Waterford 1200 bicycle...I used to race..and a Bar Stool gokart that used to be owned by my friend Kenny Wallace...

Just replaced my 2009 BMW F800 ST with this 2015 Triumph Tiger XRx. Of course given the amount of snow on the ground and the forecasts for more, it might be a while before I can pick it up from the dealership, let alone get to ride it. I made the change because of the more upright riding position with the Tiger compared to the sports riding position of the BMW.

I ride a 2004 Wing with a CSC conversion kit and a 2 wheel 2007 Harley ultra. I enjoy both experiences.

Just an update to what I posted earlier. After putting 11,000 on my Trike and 750 on my Ultra during the 2013 riding season I got rid of the Ultra while it still could bring some money. Only rode it in the early Spring and Fall. Too hot in the Summer.
I'm on my second Trike now and they are just too much fun for me to bother with that Ultra. I had seven of them in 20 yrs, but it was time to move on.

Regardless, it isn't a matter of What we ride, it just matters that we Still Ride, right? Especially us older gents.

BUMP.....

Since this post I traded the 6n for a new Sportster 2013 1200c , rode it till Dec. then packed it away for the winter, The Tri-Glide is ridden every day, Sometimes I do have to Wait till the plows clear the roads a little, What with all the snow we been getting lately..:gah:

Bump; The Sportster is gone, Traded in for a 15 Gunner..

No 2 wheeler here, but there's a beauiful white sportster down at the local Harley dealer that seems to have a very strong magnetic field around it that just keeps pulling on me harder and harder. Now, if it would pull just as hard on my wife..............hmm.......I'll keep dreaming.

At age 78, I felt I should have a trike..so I bought a Suzuki C50 converted to a Lehman tramp as I did not envision riding all that far at my age...It was in top shape..2000 miles...three weeks later I said "this ain;t for me" and sold it...I kept my beloved duo:
1994 Honda Magna V4 power cruiser...87 HP in those 750 CCs.

1987 BMW K75C touring bike....Smoothest engine ever...

When I get "Old" I'll reconsider a trike...
Best,

Well for me I have only the Trike to qualify as a motorcycle ride. My other rides are a 1999 F150 Supercab as my beater truck, trailer puller and occasional trash truck. Wife's ride is a 2010 Lincoln MKS. It's loaded but then so is she. ;)

I got my motorcycle endorsement in 1968 and I took the test on a 1958 Harley, slap shifter on tank mounted and suicide clutch. I am SO GLAD those days are gone. Have had many different rides since, too many to remember but when I got rid of my last two wheeler I decided my bike days were over due to bad knees. Then I met my trike. It was love at first sight ...... and still is.

Had to have three bikes, so here is my newest addition.:pepper::pepper::pepper:

For short trips solo I ride a 1999 Dyna Super Glide Sport. About the only thing stock is the frame. Wide front end, forward controls, 21 inch front, Rocker handle bars, stroker kit, big bore, cams. Loud, fast and fun. For longer trips or with the wife it is the 2010 Ultra Classic with the Hannigan Transformer kit. Love the Transformer..... LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!:pepper:

This is what we ride when we're in IL visiting our daughter and hubby, 1977 Shovel. They have a HD Road King and he has pretty much restored this old gal to her former glory for us to ride. I'm not sure I could get the Misses on this now that we have a Tri.
