What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

68*, just got back from an afternoon ride, not much traffic for a Federal Holiday

Come Wednesday it turns cold and ugly for a few days, but I aint scared:p

I ordered a hard shell case for my NOCO jump pak, that will protect it better in the trunk

NOCO-GBC013-Boost-GB20-and-GB40-EVA-Protection-Case_6ea7d2c8-9e5c-4f7e-93bc-c9cce354ac9e.8362fc997f72e72a93d0911625be48f2.jpeg

Only 64 here today went out for a little ride of 49 miles. Almost went up the street to squeeze in an even 50. I like that case.....but the box it came in is already paid for LOL;)

Another cool day today@54*, gassed up with alcohol free premium and rode 1/2 tank of gas out today

I use ethanol free gas when ever I can find it, my trike runs soooo much better with it, there is only a 10 cent difference in price here in Jax Florida

Hey Jack, how much you paying for a gallon there? I paid 4.71 today for 91 octanes. And the price actually just went down 6 whole cents since last fill-up.

Took a ride a week or so ago. Dd around 275 miles. Went North up through the San Bernadino Mountains down into Palm Desert, East through Indian Wells, Indio and south alongside the Salton Sea. Went west across the sand box to Borrego Springs. As I was climbing the mountain leaving Borrego as I went into a sharp right hand curve, I glanced quickly over my right shoulder to look at the town laid out below and when I looked back at the road I noted that I was in a little too deep in the turn so I cranked the bars to the right and had the front wheel sliding sideways. Released the throttle, dropped a gear and got back on the throttle and made it around the cure with the left wheel right on the yellow line. All in all a good day. burned up about $50.00 worth of gas froze, my butte off when I started out.

If you want company on your next one let me know some time.

Hey Jarhead 1775

Going out of town tomorrow for the weekend. Don't know if I'll ride next Saturday or not. Got some "Honey-Do's" to get done. Been putting them off waiting on my thumb to heal up from surgery after my stupid trick of shooting myself with a nail gun. If I can get some things done next week I might be able to get out of the house on Saturday.

Hey Ray, I just saw this. Sounds like a plan. You call it. I'm good for a ride Saturday through Friday weather permitting. I can meet you in Santee. Let me know, I'll keep an eye peeled.

P.S. stay away from those nail guns. Hope it feels better soon.

I changed my air filter, I have a spare on the shelf ready to go

I ran some errands, good ride today, cloudy @68* no rain today.

We will be 80* by the weekend

i picked up plugs for Mrs Jacks Subaru Forester, after supper I will be in the garage;)

80F you should be ashamed (LOL); we have brothers and sisters freezing there you know what's off. Rain is finishing up here we will only be 71-72 this weekend. Not bad for end of January. Need to wipe the Trike down, gas her up and get ready for a ride.

Damn I got a rock chip on my front fender today:mad:

Thats because you keep your trike too clean....You need to keep a layer of dirt and grime on it to protect the paint.....And if you get a rock chip you'll never notice it if you don't clean the trike..So thats one less thing to be staring at every time you get on it to worry about......

Danged if you do and danged if you don't. I've got one too. It's on the left side of the box between the left fender and the left side cover. Pisses me off. I really don't want fender Bras. I think it defeats the purpose of a beautiful paint job. Then it gets chipped and that defeats the beautiful paint job too. A couple more chips and I'll get the Bra's to cover up the chips. But did get out for a 40 mile ride over to Lake Murray in La Mesa.

Managed 25 miles in South Jersey in between rain showers. It was pushing 60 and not actually raining so I had to go. The trike has been sitting in the garage with the battery tender hooked up and a full tank of gas since mid November. Was wondering if she was going to give me any grief starting, but she didn't even hesitate. Started right up and ran like a million bucks. She's back in the garage again with some more showers on the way and temps going back into the 40's. I ever mention I hate winter?

Winter, I've heard of that but never experienced it. 66F now supposed to be Sunny and 71F tomorrow.:)

Had to finish up some repairs from my broken water line so I was out in my tool shed with my table saw today and as I walked by the thermometer it read 84 degrees. My trike is sitting in the garage on the lift, all dirty from my trip back from Arizona on Monday. It rained almost all the way back from Kingman to San Diego. Got to pull the gas tank apart and see if I can repair the gas leak on the gas filter. Got to get the fuel pressure back up to Spec.

73F today in Chula Vista. Took her out for a 105 mile ride down the I-8 to Pine Valley. Talk about wind gusts. It kicked my butt. Even saw a Semi turned over on it's side. No ambulances so looks like they were okay. Two CHP cars were there and some massive tow trucks. Decided to get off and travel the twisties towards Lake Cuyamaca. Wind was a little more forgiving. Then took the long way home. Butt tired especially the back. Ordered a backrest yesterday. Looking forward to putting it on. Hope that helps the ole back. Bikes were out everywhere today. Great day for it.

I finally cleaned out my sons closet, after 10 years I had to let most of his stuff go. I kept only a few cherished things, toughest day of my life for sure

68* and partly cloudy, no rain, traffic was light

I had to then get gas and put on some miles before the traffic got bad, I have relatives coming in from Mn tonight. I am wondering if I can sneak away again tomorrow

Best of luck with everything.

So what's the consensus on adding lower fairings to the freewheeler? With all the discussions as to heat on the engine. Are soft lower fairings better than hard

lower fairings. Or are they going to restrict air from getting to the engine. Anybody experienced either good or bad affects. Thanks as always for your input.

I used the soft type of lower fairings on my Road King custom. They helped to keep me dry and the added warmth was nice. I always wondered if they were restricting the air flow, so I talked with a Police officer I knew. He said that even in heavy traffic he never had any over heating issues with either the soft type or the big heavy type . I suppose that if you were riding in the desert heat there might be an issue .

Got the riders backrest on today. Not as easy as it should have been. Had to get different hardware than what was supplied. Harley doesn't like the Metric bolts supplied. So went to true value to get a couple bolts. I asked the clerk, what's the damage. He said don't worry about it. I gave him a couple dollars and said get yourself a coke. As I was walking out, I thought to myself, Self, I hope he can still buy a coke for two dollars. I haven't had a coke in years. I think it was a 1.25 the last time I got one. Raining today have to wait on a backrest test ride. SUN-TUE looks bad with rain too. So unlike California.
