I have left mine on so many times it aint funny. I finally just quit using it. Like msocko3 I carry a velcro strap.
Sounds like a good happy day Ray!!..More fun to come for you...And like others here have said,, my parking brake works the best when it is sitting in a box in the garage. I dont hear any squeaks, rattles, grinding noises or anything. And, best of all,, I never forget to release it.!!
As far as the battery connections go, you can pull the red rubber boot back where the positive battery wire connects to the starter motor and connect any battery charger there if the factory battery charge attachment is missing or inconvenient.
This red wire connects directly to the positive battery teerminal.

Hey Phu......did you mean to post to this thread "What a First Ride"?
I can assure you that you are not the first to drive around with your break on. I think I was the first. You and I are the honest ones. Lots on the boards do it, then post about their breaks squeak, don't work, or won't adjust. Enjoy it, the weather will get better.
Ha Ha!! Just a little north of ya about 4 hours..I will let you know next time I come to Utah to visit Fam...we must meet my Brutha!!
