Went on VA ride Sunday 8,600 bikes!!

Big successful VA ride, Columbia SC 8,600 bikes. The largest ride I have ever been on. All went well.

Glad to hear folks doing something for the vets. How were the logistics handled? everything pretty smooth ?

The Wife and I made that ride every year until I hurt my back 3 years ago. It was always a good ride for a Great cause, Looking forward to doing it next year on my Trike.

The Christmas Toy run a week before was always a large turnout also.

Yes the Toys for Tots ride the week before we had like 5,200 bikes.

Very well organized and the police had all the intersections blocked. Those people had a long wait. We were not going very fast and were in two staggered lines for that many bikes. Most relaxed and took pics and or waved, I am sure there were some that were pissed, but stuff happens. All the bikers were well behaved that I saw.

I am just up in Lancaster, SC and had wanted to do that run too but couldn't fit it in the schedule. I'll have to make plans to do it next year. Hopefully no rain this weekend and we can get a ride in.

We always rode the Newberry Boy's home ride also. A smaller ride but very fulfilling because we got to see the Kids get the presents. It really gave us a good feeling to see their happy faces and know you helped put those smiles there.
I always wished it were promoted more and had a larger turnout.
