Warranty

He or she got caught. I know TTS Mastertune device allows you to flash back your original factory tune and does not leave a 'footprint' that it was ever there. I have heard / read on this site and others that Dynojet's Power Vision tuner does that also. If you use an 'unapproved' tuner (which is any tuner that H-D doesn't sell and support) then you are in danger if you don't or can't take it back to the original factory tune when you take it in for any service. I think for even very routine things they hook it up to Digital Technician.

They are getting serious about this and hiding behind the EPA settlement is a great way for the moco to make big $$ selling their tuning devices.

I've read similar things with Indians. They are getting picky about know exactly what has been done. I can see their point. These new tuners can make changes that are really out there and some people have no idea what they are doing. So I really do see their point. I'd be a perfect example. I've got a great tune but I could go back in there a tweak things that could truly screw things up simply because I don't know what I'm doing. I won't touch it but I know of some that will and they'll be the first to claim what they screwed up should be covered under warranty. Too bad people are like that and screw things up for everyone. On the Indian side they are password protecting tunes now for this very reason.
