1970-71 - 17 months - I called it quits and went home after the 4th time I was wounded

Cu Chi was my forward operating base where my howitzers were staging from

Thanks to all my brothers in arms for your faithful service and welcome home. I too still like to hear those words as well even after 50+ years it still makes my heart beat a beat faster. It was 25 years before I could feel safe enough to start acknowledging that I served in that God forsaken war publicly. Thanks for this place.

One time we had to use an Air Force FO...It seems that when we called in a air strike we got credit for the bodies..And that pissed off the Air Force Brass..They wanted the credit....So they sent someone who never left basecamp..And he was so nervous he was trigger happy we had him choppered out after only a week..Sweeping through villages and having a loose cannon out front With civilians running around lead to problems...

In Basic when they served calf’s liver I would ask who likes the liver!’ And then slide it on their tray…We couldn’t just dump it in the garbage can…If it was on your tray it had to be eaten before you could leave the mess-hall…

I was never in the military, but I would not have survived childhood had my big brother not eaten liver for me. Of course, I ate lots of vegetables for him.

My Grandfather watched as his friends die in WWI ...

My Father watched as his friends die in WWII and Korea...

I watched (1st hand) as my friends fought and died in Vietnam...

I watched as our friends and children fought and died in Desert Storm...

I watched and waited while our friends and children fought and died in Iraq..

None of them fought for or died for the Mexican Flag or any other foreign flag...

Everyone fought for and died for the U.S. Flag!

In Texas, a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down.

Guess who was expelled... The kid who took it down.

Kids in high school in California were sent home this year on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.

Enough is enough.

The e-mail message below needs to be viewed by every American;

And every American needs to stand up for America.

We've bent over to appease the America-haters long enough...
