V Star 1100 trike rear tire size ???

Hi, can anyone tell me what size of tire I shall put on my V Star 1100 trike to keep the speedometer on track with the real speed ?

my rear differential as a 2.73 gear ratio and size 14 rims

any help is greatly appreciated !

I will try to do some measuring tomorrow but I think I had determined a 205 65 15 would be real close if you want to stay with the 14 rims 205 70 or 75.The stock gear ratio is like 2.8 so your gaining a bit there so a bit shorter tire than the stock would help compensate but really I don't think your dealing with enough to worry much about plus it should hep correct the speedo which usually shows fast on the stock bike.

When ever you have a chance, please let me know. Morethan possible I want to keep 14" weels as It goes on a 4 lugs 4.25 pattern.

Who made your conversion kit? I would ask them what size tire they recommend to keep the speedometer as close as possible. You could also add a Speedo Healer http://www.bluemonkeymotorsports.com/ and correct the problem for what ever size tire you run.
