Upgraded rear speakers. Damaged them. Repaired them.

I upgraded my rear speakers to the Boom! bagger speakers. Had them one week. Much to my shock and dismay, while riding over the weekend I noticed both tweeters were crushed. How can this be? I was sick about it. Don't carry anything in my back pockets, so I was really puzzled as to how both tweeters were crushed. My wife rides back there, and she wears sweat pants without pockets.

Maybe we were vandalized while parked. I have no idea. Anyway, I thought about it for a while and used a small shop-vac that had a fitting sized to the circular tweeter. Turned the vac on briefly, and the tweeters immediately popped back to their original position.

If this happens to you, try this and should be able to fix your speakers. (I'm watching now, every time we get off the trike to see if WE damage them while sitting in the rear.)

I think they sound OK. The real change needs to be with the up-front ones. Anyone sitting in the rear pretty much covers up the back speakers. I will eventually get the front speakers upgraded. On my to-do list.
