Trunk Side Pocket Saddlebag Doors

When I bought the '08 GW/RS, the Trunk Side Pocket Saddlebag Doors rattled like crazy. The hinge on one side of the door was broken, so it is held by the latch and one of the hinge pins. Appears to be a flimsy plastic hinge.

Any suggestions on how to fix? I hear replacing the whole assembly (pocket and door) is pretty pricey.

Usually the hinge breaks because the door gets kick. It often happens if left open. I've seen various repairs that usually don't hold up. Unfortunately, the best repair is to replace the pocket. It's part #81 in the fishe below. I replaced mine a few months ago because I got tired of looking at the black duck tape.
