Well, i heard back from Redline today....it wasn't good.
The salesman is insisting they didn't do the damage and it's all on the freight company.
Well, the crate was completely undamaged...no holes, cracks, unusual marks, etc. It was pinched by a forklift in the factory/warehouse but he doesn't want to accept that.
So, basically he kinda had this, "well, you signed for it, so you're responsible and you own it" attitude. Not real helpful and pretty darn sorry. Well, I'm also in the market for a tire machine, but now I know for sure where I'm NOT going to purchase it.
He did say that they could file a hidden freight damages claim, but it would take a long time to iron out, if ever.
With that said, and me needing this lift, I went ahead and finished un-crating it and went ahead with the setup. I believe I can fix the damage, or at least get it where I can live with it. The lift safe to use otherwise and is pretty sweet.
It's just crappy to spend that kind of money on a brand new product of this magnitude and then have to go thru this when it's not even my fault, but that's the way life is these days. Live and learn. Let the buyer beware.
I would recommend that IF anyone is in the market for a K&L lift, shop around for a real K&L dealer and spend some time checking out their customer service before you ever lay down your hard-earned cash.
