Trike Insurence

Ol yELLER IS BACK ON THE ROAD..lEGAL..NEW TAGS AND STICKER
The lady at Progressive asked me if my trike was home built or Manufactured..The title says Custom Trikes of Arizona..She stated that Progressive no longer insures home built trikes...At DMV I got the same question..as they say they will not be lisenceing home built trikes..I had no problem..but I can forsee the trike folks taking a hit real soon here in Texas as time goes on
All this tells me the insurence companys are behind all thisThe same way they destroyed the kit car and dune buggys industry..Time will tell but I think we are going to be screwed sooner than later

Just added a home built trike to my current trike insurance from Progressive. Current trike is also a homebuilt trike. No problem at all.

After I triked my Goldwing, Dairyland said they didn't insure motorcycles that have been altered and dropped me. Progressive wanted $1000 a year to insure my Goldwing/Roadsmith trike. I told them to pound sand and that they must be out of their mind...
Geico has my trike insured at a cost of less than $300 a year. As soon as my car insurance comes due, I'm switching them to Geico as well.

Most Japanese bikes have the reg tag on the neck. If you use a Kawasaki neck like I did you can just register it as a 19-- Kawi, Honda, Yam, etc are the same I believe. I registered and titled mine with no problems in Lake Worth, Tx. I also added it to my State Farm policy with no problems..
